awesome pics, it looks so nice. How did you like the area? Dh and I are considering the move...he has family that live there too. I get prospects sent to me everyday, but I've never been to that part of florida We want to go down in aug for a long weekend, to check it out.

you own land down in florida as well right? did you ever think of building a house on there for you and FH?? I just was wondering because FH and I would LOVE to do that. But we know we would have to move out of LI.

yep we have property there already - we wanted to build a home on it (that is the reason we bought it) but with the market they way it is right now it doesnt pay to build when you can get something practically new for so cheap - the house we put an offer on is actually the same model we wanted to build....we are going to hold on to our land - its an investment that we eventually can make a profit on - so im glad we got it....

yeah that is true, if you can get a house that you most likely would have built, already completed for you at a great price why not jump on it. And like you said, you can make the profit later down the line. i would def move to florida but i am not sure about FH haha I think he would rather do San Diego area or North/South Carolina.

its def different than NY the shopping there is okay but if you want higher end dept stores you have to go to Orlando (right now they have macys & they are building a dillards) - im sad that there isnt a crate & barrel or pottery barn close by but we have to go into NJ about 40 mins now to go to those stores anyway so it wouldnt be that much of a difference to drive into Orlando to shop - but other than that there are lots of stores that you would see here and almost everything is new....the area is really clean, the stores are clean and the people are nice....palm bay is a new city ( i cant believe they call it a city ) so its a 'transplant' area - meaning nobody is originally from the area so people from all over the country live there - its not just native floridians....but of course you still see rednecks, white trash and ghetto people here and there....the communities are gorgeous but we didnt want to live in a community for our first houes because we want to be able to do whatever we want inside and outside of the home but i have to say that the gated communites are AMAZING and gorgeous! i hope we like it there - i think it helps that my parents, sister and grandparents are there....if they werent we might consider other areas closer to orlando or a place that is more 'beachy'

yeah we wouldn't want to live in a community either, if i'm living in florida i want my OWN pool and I wanna do whatever I want
