One of my photgraphy appointments for this weekend called me today to cancel because somebody already put a deposit on my date! And I was shocked because I am not even getting married in a popular month so I thought I would have first pickings!
So if I were you girls I would put a move on it!!!

Photography was our first vendor because we were afraid of losing our first pick. Really glad we did since my date twin Jess was also thinking of booking her. If a certain vendor is important to you, I'd get them booked right away before they disappear.

I only have my church and MY rehearsal hall booked and I feel like I am behind!! And I was only engaged on 9/1! And people tell me aren't you planning things a little too early - um no!!!

I agree - If there is a specific vendor you want, get it done now!!!!!!!! Plus you have the advantage of getting a 2008 price from most vendors which is locked in.

Wow, really? Man, i've only been engaged for like 2 1/2 months, i thought if i had my place booked before the end of the year, that i'd be good for a bit. I mean, i knew the more in advance the better, but i figured with over a year and a half to go, we had plenty of time...guess it's time to crack the whip.
Good thing for this site, i think i'd be pretty clueless about a lot of things otherwise

I absolutey agree, I had booked my Photographer and then my date twin christine also wanted him, so she is getting his other team. If i didn't book him first, i would be getting his other team instead of him personally. Not that there is anything wrong with his other team-i have seen there work on here and its also great

Yes Duet, who I meeting with tonight still has great prices for 08 even though I am booking for 2010

i cant agree with you more on this... i already have a hall/date twin!!! and i booked my photographer and he already has two weddings booked on the same date! i called a few limo places and some already have deposits for my date!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! complete MADNESS....
if you know what vendors you want JUST BOOK or youre going to lose out.... i already lost out on a DJ

That's the plan, we've got a whole mess of places to see when we're home next weekend...i'm getting pretty excited for it!

wow, i can't believe that.
i just called to make a photographer appt for tuesday. i have another one tomorrow. i better get my act together. i thought because i was getting married in march, i wouldnt' have much of an issue.
