I'm going to be in on the 10th, too, but in the Suffolk edition!

I was surprised that they called me to verify the info, but I'm glad they did.

what type of pic did you guys submit? I could barely read their form, the original had been copied so much, but I don't want to waste a good proof since it won't be returned.

I'm wondering if I should send them a color copy of a proof?

I submitted a regular photo a guest took but i was told by the lady we do get them back! the form says that we dont but she said.... you get them back anyway? I guess if you send a proof they will return it or you can pick it up at their office in melville
yes, that form is hard to read! and it says to fill in everything! on the phone she told me you dont have to even say where you work, etc...
go figure!

I tried finding the form online, but had to send in a SASE in order to get the form.

I'll try to find a regular shot before I use a proof - just in case we don't get it back!

We also sent them a 'regular' photo that a guest took. It was a good picture, and I felt safe that if I didn't get it back I wouldn't be upset about it.

When I sent in my announcement, I didn't have my proofs yet, so I sent in a copy of one of the shots someone took with a table camera.

I scanned in the picture and printed it out on gloss paper with my color printer at work! The quality isn't exactly that of the photo, but I'm hoping it will look OK on the 10th. I did that with the picture I sent to my local town paper and it looked good.

And I commented on how bad the Newsday form was. They couldn't make copies from an original? It was almost impossible to read.
