FH and I were discussing the time in between and what to do about taking pictures. We were thinking about going to Old Wesbury Gardens to do the pics but we're not sure if we'll have enough time. Our ceremony is at 4 in Floral Park and CH is at 7 in Jericho. Do you think its possible to go somewhere to do pics with just the bridal party? I know we're going to have to do family pics at the hall and I'd really like to get all the pics done before CH starts. Suggestions please!

Re: Gap between ceremony and reception
I was in a gf's wedding and we tooks pics in between (you have about the same timeframe she did). We went from Elmont to take pics at the gazebo in Garden City (I think it's on Stewart Ave) and then to Millerage Cottage in Jericho and we had time to spare So, I think you could make it out there to take pics during that time.

Re: Gap between ceremony and reception
I'm also getting married in floral park, but my CH/RH is in Westbury. we are debating have the cremony at 4 or 5 because we don't know what the others will do while we're taking pics. the gazebo in garden city is really nice. there' s a nice park too in west hempstead on nassau blvd with duck pond and gazebo. Old Westbury gardens is really nice- they do charge you a fee to take pics there. (my friend went there for her wedding.) But you should still have plenty of time to do the pics and make the CH. Even if you're a little late to the CH you still have the rest of the night.

Re: Gap between ceremony and reception
OWG gives you 1.5 hours to take pics in three locations. You will likely have only about an hour, really, but you could do it, because you take pics at the ceremony location right after. You don't HAVE to be on time to the CH though if you're getting great pics !!! Be there a bit late and make an entrance!!! We are going to come into the CH separately and quietly, and mingle without each other, so that our entrance into the reception is huge!
