I've seen a lot less peole doing the garder toss & putting it on the girls leg who caught the bouquet. I don't mind the bouquet toss, but I wanted to change it & have every female, single or not be able to catch it. I've never been a big fan of the garder thing, I was always embaressed to have some guy put it on my leg. And I don't want the SINGLE girls to feel silly up there catching the bqt.
What do you think of it? Would people would miss it if I didn't do it? What do you think of every female getting a chance to catch the bouquet?![]()

I hate the boquet toss. Always have. Won't do it. One of the last weddings I was at I had to be dragged out to do it. My friend had the DJ yell my name and I was so embarrassed. ![]()
It just isn't my thing. Besides, I'm so shy about my legs and I know my FH would do something silly like pull out some grandma undies first. (one of his friends did this, it was pretty funny at the time, but I think the bride was a little embarassed.)

We did a boquet dedication. My husband didn't want to do the garder.
The DJ called all the married couples up to the dance floor and had them slow dance... Then after a few seconds, he asked for those 5 years or less to be seated... then 10 years or less and so on until you get the longest married couple and we gave the bouquet to them. It was really nice and we danced with them.
A lot of people commented on how that was such a nice thing to do. I had never heard of it until our DJ suggested it.

we did this: (we only had ONE single person)
all women got up to catch the bo-k. all men got up to catch garter. The guy who caught the garter danced with me, the girl who caught the bo-k danced with DH.
The married folks were so excited to be able to participate! It was a huge HIT and it allowed us to still do something somewhat traditional.
