Gave my two weeks at work. (Vent)

Ive been having issues at work with one of my managers. For those that dont know, I work at a restaurant/club in the city as a waitress. I try to stay out of his way because when he gets angry, he gets verbally abusive. He has even told me to, 'Get the Fcuck Out'. Because he was angry about something. He apologized the next day and I continued to work there. He still continued to find little things to pick on me about and last night was the last straw. He yelled at me for putting a pair of shoes in a drawer. And says it was 'F uckin stupid of me' I didnt get it at all so I had an is-he-serious look on my face and he says 'Its not f uckin funny dont laugh' I wasnt laughing. At that point, I was done. This isnt the first time he has spoken to me this way and he speaks to all the girls there that way, so I gave my two weeks. Im sick of coming home and feeling like ****.

I feel a little irresponsibe that Im leaving a GREAT paying job but I have faith Ill find another job. I had an open call today at a new club thats about to open so pray for me GIRLS!! I cant afford to go broke a few months before the wedding. I hope I did the right thing. I just feel like it was either the money or my sanity and you all know which one you would choose. Sorry so long.

So sorry lea that you had to deal with such an a**.

Good luck with the open call for the new club...how about asking Pri just in case and working at providence or whatever other place hes promoting at the moment? If not joe is friends with the person who does Myst, i can tell him to ask for you if you want. Let me know if I can do anything to help

I just went through the same thing at a restaurant. It sux and there is a lot of pressure on ya! I found a great new job, but I can't start for 5 weeks. We are a little stressed now, with the whole $ situation. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck!

ETS: when I left my job, my boss said... Your lucky your an F***ing girl, cause I would beat the S**t out of you! meanwhile it was a very small upscale french restaurant in Babylon. The week before nobody showed up. I worked all by myself. No Bartender, no busboy, JUST ME! No one deserves to be treated like crap!


OMG what an *******! how dare him treat you like that! I am glad you got out of that. .. sounds like you are much better off

Thank you girls. The restaurant is One in the city. I hate leaving because of how comfortable I became there. And my coworkers are the BEST. But I just cant do it anymore. The reason I even gave my two weeks is because I needed the reference from them and I also would like to go back to visit my friends who still work there. So thats the only reason I didnt drop my things and leave.

Denise, I was thinking of stopping by Myst but if Joe can find out if theyre looking for someone that would be great.

no one deserves to be treated like that. I was in the waitressing business for a long time and I walked out after my boss took it too far one night too. They thing they can just say whatever they want to the staff... it *****.

keep your head up. Hopefully something better will come along!!

WOW!! I give you ALOT of credit b/c I wouldnt have even given the jerk a notice and just walked out after beating the hell out of him...No joke..

I was there once and although i make cr@p money now i LOVE what i do... i love going to work and it makes a WORLD of a difference!

When were you there?! I was probably working cause I work everyday! lol. Did you have a good time?? Its a fun place, cool atmosphere. The manager is just a miserable *******.

Thank you. I was just talking it out with FH right now cause it feels better to talk about it. I keep thinking to myself what if I made a mistake. But theres no mistake when I was being treated this way. The funny thing is, the past two days he has been beyond nice to me. The guys is nuts. And he expects me to joke with him. It just doesnt make sense. Im trying to make as much money as I can before I leave so I wont be completely as$ed out when I leave.

sounds like he's off his rocker.. and you dont need that god forbid he turns violent! You'll find another job! try not to worry. just try and leave on good terms so you can use him as a reference! haha

Thats exactly why I didnt just curse him out and leave. I need this reference for another job. It was SOOOOOO hard to do but its the responsible thing to do. Ugh I hate being older and ressponsible.
