Getting 'In Contract'- UPDATE

From when you signed till when they signed- how long did it take?

I'm going on 5 days including the weekend and it's driving me mad. I don't wanna be outbid!


UPDATE: Tonight is supposed to be the night! My lawyer spoke to their lawyer and he doesn't forsee any issues. They are supposed to me with him and sign tonight. Cross your fingers!

took us about 5 business days...

we held up signing cause of x,y,z reasons.

did they accept your offer?
if someone were to place a higher bid, ethically, they should allow you to counter but you never know...we were a victim of that (they never told us they accepted higher offer)

once you sign, it goes back to them. seller just makes sure everything is in place and its done. the seller lawyer are the ones the draw up the contract proposal and depending on the terms that you want set, can hold it up

They've accepted our bid. We signed the contract on Friday night. I'm so nervous we are going to be out bid still.

we were nervous only because we thought we were in contract but they never signed.
I would be in contact with the lawyer to find out when they recieved it, they did process your down payment check etc...

gotta allow time for it to be mailed..

i would call tomorrow.

Dont forget this week had Rosh Hashanah. If they observe or their attorneys observe, I would allow a couple of extra days.
