Me ... well I have been a excersize nut for a few years however I kicked it up. I used to do just a 1/2 hr to 1 and 1/2 each morning rotating days. Now I am adding in Step and Interval training 3x a week after work for an addition hour and a half. It's great! One of the girls I work with used to be a trainer so we get together after work move stuff around and go to it! I hurt though...and I am IN shape. The other girls (one of my BM) isn't used to it and she is dying! But it is so worth it!! On top of that I made my eating even more clean. I will only have Chicken, Tuna, green veggies and good carbs like Old Fashioned Oatmeal and sweet potatoes or brown rice in moderation. And soy milk for fruit smoothies!! I have always eaten this way but now I am making sure I really watch those portions and make sure I eat at least every 3 hrs. It's like training for the OLYMPICS!! GO TEAM 2006!!!

Re: Getting in Shape...whatcha' doing?
I'm petite..5'1, 113 lbs..but I want to lose five pounds.[since I recently gained those five]. I'm going to start walking and my friend gave me a pilates video so I can tone up my upper body. I also need to start eating better. I eat so healthy in the summer but in the winter I crave everything that's bad!

I know what you mean I am 5' and when your petite the weight has no where to go!! You can definatly get rid of those 5lbs just by cutting back a little in 2 weeks you'll be right back!

I started on the treadmill again and joined a cardio kickboxing class in Levittown. 3 months for $149 and you get a free tshirt and boxing gloves. How could I say no? I start tomorrow, wish me luck!

Re: Getting in Shape...whatcha' doing?
I've been working out on my treadmill pretty regularly since mid-December. Over the past couple of weeks, I've increased my workouts from 3x week to 5x week and added strength training. I've also started training for a 5K run. I have no idea which run I'll do yet but I wanted to add something else to my workouts. I'm also eating very healthy - lots of lean protein, veggies, and fruits. No eating after 8pm and LOTS of water. I'm sleeping better and am happier. Best of all, I'm seeing results which remotivates me constantly.

Re: Getting in Shape...whatcha' doing?
I've been taking total body conditioning classes at the NYSC and running. I'm not running as often as I would like to because my schedule has been really hectic but, hopefully it'll be better soon

Re: Getting in Shape...whatcha' doing?
I've been on Jenny Craig for a month and so far I've lost 22.5 lbs. I added 3 days of Pilates and 2 days of the excercise bike and that's really helped with the fat burning and arm toning. (I still miss cheese)

Re: Getting in Shape...whatcha' doing?
Planning on exercising soon.
The good news is that the dress, which I ordered a size smaller than they suggested, zipped up, although not easily. Need to get back on my rowing machine (does wonders) every a.m. and I should be able to drop some weight.

Re: Getting in Shape...whatcha' doing?
I was going to do Buff Brides at NYSC, but a trainer suggested that I try Bridal Bootcamp first. Bridal Bootcamp is a program created by the fitness director at Gold's Gym in Astoria. It's a six-month plan to get you in shape for your wedding. I started last July, which is more than a year from my wedding. Basically, I was in a major gym rut and needed something new. That far away from my wedding, I really wasn't trying to lose weight. Let me tell you, this book changed my body. I have trimmed my waist and toned my muscles in record time. I haven't even started the diet part of the program, but by about two months into the program, I had dropped a size.
For anyone who wants to quickly get into shape, but not spend a fortune, this book is the best!! It's called Bridal Bootcamp. AMAZING!!!!
Cardio... Starting TODAY. I am on a diet, so being that I have alot of muscle mass in my body, I'm going to try to stay away from the weight training & do more cardio (although I HATE the treadmill) I have 6 months to go and I need to loose mucho poundage. I'm going to try my hardest to make it to the gym tonight. In the spring I want to start a jogging routine (around my neighborhood) Ladies.. I realize that that the hardest part about dieting is starting!!!
