Getting Nervous for '08 Wedding...Will I get there?

We've seen 8 or 9 places so far and they've all been either too expensive, completely not our style or there were just one or two things wrong w/ the facility.

I'M SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is the wedding hall supposed to 'hit' me like the wedding dress is? I'll know it when I see it and I'll be wowed or are some people just taking what's good enough?

no you aren`t asking too much!! this is your day you need it to be what you have always dreamed of!!! where are you located and how far are you willing to travel?? and where have you looked so far?

We're in the CIty and we don't have a car. We can borrow our parents' cars so that's a plus. We are looking in Westchester, Nassau and the CIty. I've seen:

1. The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers
2. 3 West Club
3. Greentree
4. VIP
5. Beckwith Pointe
6. Surf Club
7. Douglaston Manor
8. Stewart Manor Country Club
9. Coral House
10. Fox Hollow

Our favorite is Greentree but the room we like is SO BIG I'm not sure how we'd fill the space - so that's why we're still looking around. They said they have ficus trees that they can put in the room to fill up some of the space. I'm thinking if we do tall centerpieces and smaller tables we can fill up the room even more (I know that'll get costly w/ the flowers).

Tomorrow we see Fountainhead and Marina Del Rey. I am praying that we like one of them!!!!
