getting 'NO' RSVPs people are hillarious!

Original post by angl2001

SO i am really looking for people to RSVP NO cause our guest list got out of hand....but i am shocled that people are RSVPing NO cause i didnt invite them with a guest. Its not like they dont know anyone there lol its fine with me i save $$ that way!! i am crossing my fingers for at least 40 NOs so i dont have to owe anymore $$ to the hall. I didnt invite anyone with a guest unless they were married engaged or a very long term relationship....i am not paying for people to bring joe schmo off the street into my wedding! its bad enough i hardly know some of the family memebers we invited lol

people just amaze me!

When a friend received our STD, we were told she was bringing her boyfriend with her and she was not invited with a guest....

i would never expect anyone i know to not be allowed to bring a date.... i think theyd feel awkward at a wedding w/o one... i accounted for that though with my number of invites.... to each their own, good luck!

yeah but honestly i dont want a bunch of complete strangers at my wedding lol if they werent gonna know anyone else there id prob be ok with it....but the people complaing pretty much know everyone who will be at the wedding i just think its stupid but thats just me like you said to each their own....i cant afford to have a 300 person wedding or have to cut out half the people on my list so that people can bring a date......

I totally agree!!!!!! I would hate having to invite someone as a guest that i don't know from a whole in the wall..especially cause a lot of the guys some friends having been hanging out with are dirtbags...one started a fight at my bday party..

some people just dont take into consideration how much $$ you pay out for a wedding and how expensive it is to feed the guests! lol

I just remember my roommate from college being invited with a date to a wedding and not being able to find one and she ended up taking someone because he was able to drive her to LI and back to albany again. One of her friends knew him and she didn't know him before the wedding and she never spoke to him after. I didn't realize how messed up this was until I started wedding planning and that is why some people will not be invited with dates.

I completely agree! I even told my brother if he isn't dating someone seriously i am not inviting him with a guest. He just started dating a girl a month ago. Maybe it will be serious by the time of my wedding maybe he will be with someone else. I can't afford all the extras especiall when my mom is making me invite my dad's sister, which I have no problem with, but on top of that she is making me invite their two children who are 13, and 10 about. Here is the problem with that..she (my aunt) never even RSVP'd to my brother's wedding last summer..my mom had to call her. Now she wants me to invite these little kids (who I haven't seen in a long time and who I guarantee you don't know who their cousin Chrissy is) and she doesn't even RSVP. My dad said not to invite any of them, but Mom is afraid of a family argument. Good grief...I can only hope they don't come like they didn't to my brother's wedding.
