Getting ready before the wedding

Getting ready before the wedding

Are most people having someone come to their house or hotel before the wedding or are they going to a salon?

I am just a bit nervous because when my friend Sarah went to a salon, she got stuck in traffic on the way back and was 30 minutes late to her own wedding!

i'm having my BMS sleep over the night before so there are no excuses as to why they are late (LOL) and i am having the makeup and hair person come to us.

I'm having someone come to the house. My ceremony starts at noon so I'd have to pay a salon to open up early if I wanted to go somewhere.

i am having them come to my house. I had a bad experience with my hair and make up for e-party. But then again i also got my hair and make up done in the city and e-party was at chateau la mer. But i was done at 4pm which was later than i was supposed to be done but there were delays. So when i got out there was not one cab that would stop, i was getting so frustrated and then one cab finally stopped and after begging to take me to queens he finally did, he explained to me that at 4pm cabs change shift so thats why nobody would take me since they were all off duty. But most also dont go that far to get hair and make up doneso shouldn't be a problemm although you always do have to take into consideration time to get there and back and whether you might hit traffic. Biggest thing is that i wanted to wake up, be in my house with my family, bp and just relax. I really didn't want to run around the day of my wedding to get ready

We're all staying at Garden City Hotel and hair and makeup are coming to us . . . . only one girl actually lives on LI, and far from the church/hall, so that wasn't an option.

I went to a salon for my cousin's wedding, but it was right by her house so no traffic issues . . . . we also went early in the morning!

My BP and I are staying at a hotel the night before the wedding. I'm also going to hire a hair and makeup person to come to us and have all that done.

Good to know! I am still trying to decide. Our RH lets me have the Bridal Suite all day so I might have them someone come there??

I think I am gonna go to a salon for my hair but have my make-up done at the RH which is where I am getting ready.

I'm having them come to my house, all BM that will be with me as well....it's just a lot easier that way and hopefully less stressful!

I need to have someone come to me because I'm not a 'regular' at any specific salon so I doubt anyone would open at 6:00am for me.
