I've been on this site for a year and a half now. We've had quite a few 'get to know you threads'. Unfortunatly some of the girls have left the site. But i looks like we have a ton of new girls. I thought it would be nice to have a thread to introduce ourselves.
My name is Colleen, FH is Brian. Ive lived in East Meadow my whole life (yay Nassau), went to EMHS, graduated in 2003 (which makes me 24). I currently work as a Special Education teacher...looking for a new job for September as my district is having cuts. I love pancakes, the word fabulous, going to the gym, and cheerleading (I've was a cheerleader for 12 years and a coach for 8). I love LIW and I've made so many great friends on here, some of which I hang out with on a daily basis. This site has been so wonderful in helping me with wedding planning, random NWR questions, making friends, and just wasting time.

My name is Sandra and my FH is Alfred! He has lived in NY all of his life but for 1 year when he was younger and lived in NC! He's 26 and I am 23! I live back and forth from NC and FL until I turned 15 and moved up to NY after my mom did. I was leaving for the Orlando airport when the 1st plane crashed on 9/11! So I didnt fly out until 9/15!
I meet FH in Nov of 2002 and we didnt start dating until Jan of 2003 after I turned 17! I moved in with him that summer b/c my mother was suppose to move out of srate and I didnt want to leave him and he didnt want me to leave either. 1 year later we were pregnant with our 1st child and now we have 3!
We have had our ups and downs but we really love each other! We have been together 6 1/2 years and when we get married we will be together for 8 years 2 months and 9 days lol!

Hi all! My name is Ashley and Fh's is Gerry. We've been together since Nov 04 and engaged since Nov 07. Ive lived in a quite a few towns ( all in suffolk) and FH and I currently live in Wading River. I work in a daycare as a teacher but will be going back to school for dental assisting, Gerry is a carpenter for a company in the hamptons ( it's nice when you have millions to spend on a new staircase in a recession lol). I graduated from Comsewogue HS in 2003 ( making me 24) and FH graduated from shoreham-wading river in 2000 ( almost 27). We have two cats, abigail and munchkin, and they're our babies. He's actually staring at Abby right now b/c she's being silly haha He can be such a mush sometimes.

Hey! I'm Kris - well, technically Kristin but not many people call me that. FH's name is Neel. I'm 27 and he's 29 - our birthdays are only a few days apart in August, which I think is kind of cool...though since we're both Leos we butt heads here and there We both went to CUNY - Baruch College and that's where we met...though we didn't start dating for two years. I studied Journalism with a minor in Theatre Arts (uh, yeah...in a business school... ) and now work in Human Resources for a huge theatrical company. I love love LOOOOOOOOVE the theatre (insert 'jazz hands' smiley icon here). I've lived all over Queens my entire life; FH has lived in Ozone Park since he was about 9 or 10. His family immigrated from Bangladesh. I love all things Queens, but ESPECIALLY the Mets and the Ramones - We are going to incorporate Queens into our wedding somehow. So...my trademarks...I'm a vegetarian (so is FH; we're planning a veg wedding). I play bass guitar. I cook really well - when I went veg at the age of 12, my mom told me to learn how to cook or starve, since her kitchen was not a restaurant, so I learned how to cook. Oh, and I've seen Pearl Jam 30 times around the country. Yup!

I'm Michelle & FH is Angel. I lived in East Northport until I was 10 then my family moved to Illinois. In 1988, we moved to Shoreham, NY where I graduated high school in 1989.
I am a Guidance Counselor and moved to Connecticut in 2001 for a job where I met my FH. He was my boss!! We have been together 4 1/2 years and we are the oldest couple on here. I am 38 and he is 55!! My first marriage, his 2nd.

Hi, My name is Kimberly and my FH is James. We will have been together 8 years this August. I'm from the Bronx and graduated from CW. Post for undergrad while James lives and went to St. Francis College in Brooklyn. Although we met working at the MET, now I am an academic advisor (until the end of July) at NYU and James works with the NYPD. I am 27 and James is 29...I can't believe how much time has passed since we met and I am trying to make this year fun for him before hits the big 3 0, lol!
We can be kinda homebodyish but when we do hang out it's nothing but lots of fun, especially since most of our friends love to party!!!!

I just turned 29 and FH is 30. We got engaged this past Christmas! I love him so much and I can not wait to marry him!

Hi HI...I am Christine and fh is Ralph. We are both high school teachers in Queens. We met at Queens College the first day of my freshman year and have been together ever since. We will be together a little more then 7 years by the time we get married. We have a puppy- Rocco who is the love of our lives!

I'm Lisa and FH is Scott. I'm originally from Massapequa, but have been living in Manhattan since 2004. I work at an advertising agency and Scott works directly across the street from me at a hedge fund. This sounds crazy, but we actually meet at the deli on our street almost every day to grab sandwiches. In fact, before we got engaged (we were together 3.5 years) Scott was even getting pressure from the deli guy who kept telling him to 'lock it up'.
I don't get to post too often, but definitely rely on this site for all the good information and advice.

My name is Melissa and FH name is Dave. I went to a college in Pa called Bloomsburg for my undergraduate in elementary and early childhood ed and then did my masters in special ed at LIU. I grew up in Holbrook and now live with FH in Ronkonkoma. I teach children with autism which is my lifes passion. I love using LIW for all the ideas that I get and for all the great outpouring of support. I am so looking forward to this being all of 'our' time to get married!
I know where Bloomsburg is. I went to Susquehanna so I wasn't far from you. I was actually driving through Bloomsburg this past weekend.

I'm Dawn, FH is Brian. I grew up and currently live in Franklin Square. I went to Carey and graduated in 1997, then off to Susquehanna Univ, where I graduated in 2001 with a degree in History. I graduated from Adelphi with my Masters in Education in 2005 and I currently teach 2nd grade. FH grew up in Hicksville, but now lives with me. He went to St. Dominic's h.s. and Loyola College in Baltimore. He is almost done with his MBA (he will graduate Hofstra in Dec - yay) and is an accountant.

i still cant get over that both of our FH's are phys ed teachers named anthony!! and we got engaged this past christmass and we're the same age lol
Im caitlin and FH is anthony. Im a social worker who works with senior citizens and he works in an elementary school. i;ve become addicted to LIW over the past few months even tho i dont post as much as other ladies. i dont know how my wedding would turn out if it wasnt for LIW!

Hi ladies, My name is Kamai and my fiance's name is Kahlil. This November is going to make 7yrs that we have been together. I am currently a bureau administrator but I graduated last week so I am looking into finding a new job that has something to do with my degree which is in English. I plan on becoming a teacher and guidance counselor. Kahlil is a Project manager for a construction firm. We have a home in West Palm beach Florida where he resides and I plan on moving there permanently after the wedding next year.

My name is Sandra, I live(d) in Garden City, now I live with FH in Lynbrook. I went to Sewanhaka H.S, (class of 2001) and now I work in the fashion industy for a designer eyewear company... My fiance is Joe and he owns a flooring company. FH and I come from Italian families, so our wedding is going to be big because each side as loads of close family members that we want to be there.
What else.... Oh yea, and my favorite phrase is ' Lets hug it out' and I love my wine.

Im Christina FH is Dan. I grew up in Middle Village, FH is a brooklyn boy. I graduated from St. Joseph's College in 2006 with a BA is Speech Communications and Minors in History and Theatre. I recently recieved my MA in Speech Pathology from NYU and am currently looking for a real adult job. I eventually want to go back for my PhD. I love acting, singing and traveling. FH is a high school chemistry teacher We met in doing a play in college and have been together almost 6 years. I will be 25 in October and FH will be 28. Also a fun fact our birthdays are a week apart so weekends in October are insane. I love the people I have met on this site and completely enjoy shooting ideas off each other

My name is Sabrina; I'm 22 years old. I grew up in Bay Shore and have pretty much lived there my entire life. I start my new job as an RN next month- so nervous and excited all at the same time! FH is 29 years old and from Deer Park. He currently works at a law firm. We've only been together for about a year and a half, but I've never been happier.
I love food in general...Spanish, Italian, Thai, Indian, Japanese, Jamaican, whatever! I wish I had more time so I could have some better culinary skills. I go to the gym, but I just wish I could be more hardcore about it, lol. Either that or I Need to be stricter with my diet, but that never works, ha ha ha.
I love LIW! After I get out of work, I'm probably on here and facebook wayyyy too much, lol. I'm pretty new here, but nice to meet everyone and hopefully I'll get to meet some of you in person one day!

Hey! My name is Marjorie and my FH's name is Frank (in case you couldn't tell!) I will be 23 when we get married and FH will be 28. I graduated from NYU with a BA in history in only 3 years because I was so desperate to get a career and make money. I am a hard-worker and have been saving up for my wedding and for my house since I was 16 and putting my tips from Coldstone Creamery in the bank. I am also a perfectionist with control issues. I am the first to admit all of my flaws and I can be very honest. I cannot be fake at all which makes some social situations awkward. I am a litigation paralegal on Long Island and FH is a diamond grader for GIA in Manhattan... what a perfect job! We met while working together in retail, he was my supervisor! He is everything I could have wanted, and more, in a husband and he is my best friend.
