Re: getting ur bp back home...
uh, is there no one at the wedding that can give them a ride? I've been in 2 weddings and we found our own way home. That is not your responsibility.

How are they getting to your house? Can't they join in with a family member or friend that is going in the same direction? I don't think you should have to provide that

Re: getting ur bp back home...
I am not providing the BP a ride home after the reception, there are tons of rides they can get from family members and I don't think it is expected for you to get them home, just give them a heads up. I did with my bp and they dont seem to mind.

Re: getting ur bp back home...
it's called renting a car, calling a cab or hitching a ride!
i'd only provide transportation, like a small bus, if there were a lot of people staying at a nearby hotel and it was an evening wedding.

They're all staying at my hotel, I always do that if I'm in the wedding.

Yea we may have a van that our limo company has for people who are going back to the hotel....... But 2 of my BM's are sisters and their family will be going too and there probably be going to catch a ride with them.....

Anytime I've been in a BP I've had to find my own way home. It's called getting a ride from someone. It's not your expense.
I swear - I don't get people sometimes. I'm getting a shuttle from the hotel to and from the RH - I actually had someone ask me how they were supposed to get to the hotel!

Re: getting ur bp back home...
ive never heard of the bride and groom providing transportation for on the way back. We have been in bp's and wasnt done for us. When dh was in a bp for example, he went on the party bus with them and i drove there, so since i drove he had a ride back home. Same with our wedding, all our bp had rides home. Either their bf/gf, husband or wife drove there while they came with us on the party bus but since their SO came there with a car they had a ride. The others had arranged with other guests they knew for a ride home. I asked if anybody had a problem with getting a ride to let me know but none did. Most were in a relationship and their SO drove there and the few others had real close friends there.

Re: getting ur bp back home...
I have been to 12 weddings this past year and all 12 of them had shuttles for all their guests going back to the hotel after the wedding
not individual rides for each guests

yea i dont feel like its your responsibility ... i mean like you dont have enough stuff to worry about and to pay for ... now you have to worry about the whole bp getting home? nnoooo wayyyy! there has to be someone who can take them home.

Re: getting ur bp back home...
Its not your responsibility. Have them leave their car at the RH (if they are getting ready with you) or if they are bringing a date have the date take them home. I didn't provide any of the BP transportation. I had enough to do.

I've never heard of that before. I've heard of getting transporation to and from the hotel if your guests stay there, but not door to door service to and from their house.

Re: getting ur bp back home...
We are providing transportation for our families and our bp so that they can get back home. Our bp is small though and our immediate families are pretty small as well. But I'm sure that we'd have done it even if our bp/families were large. We just want eveyone to enjoy the wedding and not have to worry about how to get home after.

Re: getting ur bp back home...
At first I was thinking the same thing as you... that it was MY responcbility... but, all in all, it's NOT. lol. Really, every wedding that I was in I needed to find a way to get home. I can understand if it's far away, but there has to be SOMEONE that is traveling the same direction. Or, maybe they can crash at a local hotel with a bunch of other people. I wouldn't stress over it all. Explain to everyone in your BP that if they reeealy need a car, that you CAN make arrangements with your limo company if they fork up the money first. Just an idea... Re: getting ur bp back home...
I gave my bp the option to stay at the hotel and have a ride for their guest to the RH and everyone back to the hotel. Only one took advantage of it. The others said they lived close enough to make it home. My MOH/sister's boyfriend was in perfect shape to drive as he always is if my sister has a special occasion. My bridesmaid's fiance is NYPD and takes care of the love of his life so he was in perfect shape to drive. He stayed straight to get her home safe and so she could have a good time. Our groomsman booked a hotel room and then decided that he didn't want to stay at the same hotel as his brother who booked a room so he had transportation to and from so he could drink and not have to worry) so he left with his wife and never told us...real nice guy. And the best man and his date had a room.
In all honesty...it's not the bride and groom's responsibility to get their BP home safe. They are adults and should be able to take care of that on their own. JMHO.

Re: getting ur bp back home...
u dont have to do anything. Its not something u should be expected to do either. We r providing a shuttle back to the hotel if anyone is staying there. Fh also wants to have one shuttle go into nassau, jus to get some people closer to home. But only cause most people live so far away in our bp.
