Getting worried...

Getting worried...

Ok girls. So we are having our ceremony at our RH and it is in the same room AND FH and I are not seeing each other before the ceremony. So here are my thoughts/concerns:

1. Our venue is having the Cocktail hour in the lobby so no pics can be taken there during the cocktail hour of me and FH and families and BPs.

2. There is another lovely room that will not be being used that we can take pics in during CH.

3. The Coordinator at my RH said it takes them 20 mins to break down the ceremony and reset the tables for the reception, which in my book leaves 40 mins of the CH when the Reception room will be set and no one will be in there which will be the perfect place to take pics, esp. romantic ones of me and FH.

4. Also if we get decent weather then we can take pics outside on their gorgeous terrace.

Basically all of my concerns are that there won't be enough places for us to go to take pics after the ceremony and before the reception? Do you think it will work out? I am really nervous about this! Any advice would help! Thanks!! I mean should I have chosen a RH with separate room for Reception and Ceremony area?? Should we have turned our back on our dream and conceded to take pics together before our ceremony, which we both really don't want to do? Please help...freaking out a bit! Thanks!

I think it will all work out. Go to RH again coupled with speaking to them and try and map out a plan for places to take pics and do not worry about the time- discuss with your photgrpaher your time concerns and ask if he is familair with grounds/ RH and see if he/she can make any suggestions

Yeah we chose our photographer because we loved his work and he has done receptions and ceremonies at our RH. So that is a big plus. Also, he thought the timing would be fine...he said it will all work out. So hopefully it will.

Too funny, actually FH and I were going to get married at the Hamlet as well. We are also getting married at the RH, but we really didn't want to get married in the same room as our reception, plus your right. the CH is in the lobby... so we decided against it.
We went to the a wedding to the one in Commack, the couple got married at the church earlier, but it was raining, so they couldn't take advantage of the scenery...so they were taking pictures in the lobby while everyone was around, they didn't have a choice really, but all of their pictures came out beautiful...Which Hamlet are you getting amrried at?

yes, we looked at the same one, they just built that it. it's beautiful. i promise you the weather will be beautiful. you'll get all of your pictures in. the photographer will know what to do...

we are having an interfaith wedding, so we need to see each other before hand...if it's easier on you, maybe you can see each other before hand too so youcan get all of your pictures in...
