They haven't said anything else at this point, like where it is or what it means. He was placed on the 15 day DL.

Scary stuff. At least it's benign, and at least he doesn't have that potentially fatal parasitic disease they were talking about last week...

What I find odd is that the Yankees signed John Olerud today. Why would they do that if they expect Giambi to be back in a week?
