Gift for FI on Wedding Day....

Is everyone doing this? I think I am going to get FI a Rolex as a wedding gift, but I don't want to wait till the wedding to give it to him!

What is everyone else getting if anything?

We are getting each other a gift but we have decided that our wedding bands would be from each other.

Cuff links are a good one but my FI would never get any use out of them. He is a watch maniac though, so I know he would LOVE a lex.

I am thinking of maybe buying him a big screen TV. Yes, I will get some benefit from it, but he watches TV more than me and he might want to use it as his computer monitor.

A little untraditional, but I bought Brian a Movado a few years ago (so teh watch idea was out). So, I bought him a nice piece of Calvin Klein luggage, and I bought him all teh clothes he will need for the honeymoon. It'll save us from thr rush of packing in February(when
there will be no summer clothes available!). I through in all of his toiletries, socks and a nice new bottle of cologne, and teh last thing will be a nice pair of sneakers which I will get in February, right before we leave.

I gave my husband a Thomas Kinkade painting. He loves it! He opened it up the morning of the wedding at his parent's house when his whole family was there. They took pictures for me so that I could see the emotion on his face when he opened it! Priceless!

BTW, he gave me the 'A Vow of Love' Lladro and I cried. Happy tears, of course!

Alias, thats a really good idea!

I think I am going to get him the watch sooner than later, so maybe I will make him a little basket of clothes and toilettries for the honeymoon around the time of the wedding. He ALWAYS forgets something when we are on vacation, so I will take the hassle off his shoulders.

I know FI wants a Rolex and he told me not too buy it because it is too much $$$. But I think I am going to surprise him.

Hey Laurie (Aliaspook)..you love buying new clothes in general! That is why I always steal them from you!
Actually that is a great idea. I think I will do that for my DH for Christmas before we go on our next vacation!

It is $$$, but he bought me my e-ring and I can probably get the watch for cheaper than what he paid for the ring. Hey Annemarie, maybe if we buy 2 we will get a discount...
