I keep on wanting to change my gift registry-- I have Macy's, Jcpenny and Pier 1-- we went to Target the other day and I saw all cute stuff- and not to pricey, like new dish sets and gadgets-- will I have to many registries? We are only having around 100 people.

Re: gift regisrty
I just went to a shower where the girl is registered at three places and probably 70-90 people are invited to the wedding.

Hm, well, I think I would have two but no more than three, JMHO. I think that if any retailer's have similar stuff (are there separate reasons behind choosing both Macy's and JCP? Can you cancel one registry and go with Target? I kind of see Macy's and JCP as similar stores, so I would pick one or the other, I guess. Good luck!

personally, i think 4 is a lot... i can just picture the shower invite with 4 registry cards falling out!! But that is the only thing that would make me nervous about have so many registries... what if when you have your shower you put some registery cards in some invites and the others in other invites... does that make sense??

Re: gift regisrty
4 seems like a lot - but I think it is a good idea to register for gifts at a variety of price levels. If you want Target, maybe close the Pier 1 or the JC Penney.

4 seems a bit much! I have 2 registries & I think that is a lot to keep under control

Re: gift regisrty
I think if you have 4 registries, you run the risk of getting 'spotty' gifts - and not a significant amount in any one design. I'm not explaining myself well.....I'd be afraid that I'd get a little bit of everything, but not enough to round out what I want (or really need) - - - - and then we'd be left buying more stuff (like the china, since people might avoid it because it's typically pricier). Make sense?
I also don't think I'd like to open an invitation with 4 registry cards falling out of it - I'd be overwhelmed instantly. JMO.
Good luck!

Re: gift regisrty
I registered at both Macy's ( for the glasses) and Jcpenny for less expensive bedding. If I was to close one it would be the pier 1 for the Target- Pier 1 is just small things for the garden. Im going to put my wedding web site on my STD cards so there would be no need for any cards to be falling out of the invites. Well I still have a few months till I cant change it-- thanks for the feed back

I think that 4 is a lot. Most of the places you registered have very similar things. If you want to add different registries, try stores that sell very unique and useful things... do you have a house or apartment? Homedepot might work.
