Gifts at a bachelorette??

I just got an invite to a friend's bachelorette and it says on the bottom:

Your presence is your gift. Please don't bring X a gift.

Have you ever taken a gift to a bachelorette? I haven't....... ???

The bach parties where I am in the BP, I have brought a little silly gift for the girl, but otherwise, I haven't......
