I'm having a rather unusual wedding party: my sister is my MOH, but all my bridesmaids are my nieces, who are thirteen, eleven, and ten. I have no idea what to get them as bridesmaid gifts. I could get them jewelry, but what do girls that age like? Are initial charms still in? Or I could get them each a piece of jewelry that reflects their interests, like an equestrian charm for my youngest niece, and maybe something ballet-related for the older girls. I was thinking of taking them to see 'Wicked' on Broadway, but to be honest I don't know if I can afford it, the ticket prices are so high. Anyone know of a way to get cheaper tix other than waiting for day-of tickets at TKTS?
Also I don't know what to get my seven-year-old flowergirl or for my slightly older ringbearer. I got a couple of little paper doll books with a bride and groom and a flower girl for her, but those are just little things. What did you guys get for the littlest ones? Do you think they'd just like a Toys R Us giftcard best?
(edited for horrible grammar)

I think the jewelry that reflects their interests is a nice gift! Maybe if you could also afford it a small gift voucher from toysrus would be a hit too!!!They are only young after all!

sounds like you are on the right track i'd stay away from the expensive tickets - kids do not always connect something like that to a gift - they think they are just going to another place.. a gift like a necklace or charm of their interests they can show to their friends and know its because they were a bridesmaid. its solid proof in their hands. and they'd keep it forever. i know at those ages that what i would have liked. unless they are super broadway fans but most kids just do not get the big deal (unless the have a unique interest in it) just my experience with kids- others may have different experience/thoughts, of course. hope that helps!

Thanks--the thing is, they loooove Wicked, they listen to and sing along with the songs to the soundtrack all the time, but they haven't been to see it, so it would be a big, special thing if I brought them. Just don't know if I want to spend the money, other than the fact that I want to see it too!

I think bracelets are a cute idea. Check out this website. I got my JB a bracelet from here. She is 9.
Also for the little kids, I got GC to build a bear. I also got candy jars and am filling them with candy

Re: Gifts for Junior Bridesmaids?
My Jr. Bm's were both 13 and not in to jewelry at all. I didn't get any of my BP gifts that they could only use on that day. I got them each a gift that I knew as idividuals, they would like. Back to the Jr. Bm's...I got them both a gift card to their favorite stores to shop in and also a pair of flip flops that they could change into at the reception. They are both not girly girls and were already making a HUGE sacrafice by wearing a dress and shoes in the first place!!

I agree with staying away from expensive tickets - all though your heart is in the right place - you dont want to hurt your pocket at this point in your life. I like the braclet idea- toys r us gift cards are nice, what are they're interests and play off of that. Like my nieces are disney princess fanatics so I plan on purchasing either nice dolls or something along those lines.
