Giorgio's or Woodbury Country Club? Please Help!

Original post by lilgem250

My fiance and I equally love both places. The price is about the same, the date will be the same, the food is great.
The conerns I have are that Giorgio's is far out from my house (about an hour) but they have great photo ops and an hour and a half cockail hour and only do one wedding at a time.
The concerns I have with Woodbury is that the couple reviews I read said the food and gardens were A+ but the service was a B and I'm afraid there might be another wedding that day. The pros are I like the ceremony area and the gardens better and it is closer (about 30 min.)
I want to make sure my guests are taken care of. If you have used these places (especially I need more feedback on Woodbury) please help me make my decision by telling me about your experience with them.

Haven't logged on here in ages, but i'm looking to help a friend plan her wedding...

Our wedding at WCC was fantastic. It was in 07, but I was happy with the service and food was outrageous. Tons of compliments. We were also concerned about more than one wedding at a time (there actually was another wedding going on, but the entire parties did not meet, did not hear each other, nothing! It was amazing.

We had our ceremony in the garden with the gazebo and loved it. Two issues: at the time we booked we were told we could have amplified music for the ceremony. A few months after we booked, they called to say a neighbor called the town hall to complain about the 'noise' and now they are not allowed to have any amplified music at the ceremony. So I had to go out and get someone to play an instrument!!

Second, people said they couldn't hear what we were saying during the ceremony, there's no mics there.

Otherwise it was fantastic. Never been to Giorgios.

GL!
