I am 5'7' and did not order extra length on my dress. Did any of you girls get extra length? The salon is not sure what heel height I can wear with my dress and told me to hold off until the dress comes in (in March!)

Are bridal gowns the same as bridesmaid gowns? I am 5'7'' and for a wedding I was recently in I didn't order extra length. With my heels (around 2'') the dress was a little bit short. I felt uncomfortable wearing it and wished that I had gotten a little extra length. Not sure if BM dresses run the same length as bridal gowns. I haven't ordered my bridal gown yet, so I have no experience with that to help.

im 5'6 1/2', so basically 5'7', and i didnt order extra length..but when i tried on my gown it was in the size that was ordered, and i already had my shoes..honestly they suggested hemming it like 1/2', but i like it a lil longer and i wont trip on it..i was walking all around the store..you should be fine

I'm 5'7, and I ordered extra fabric. BUT its because I wanted a longer train, and I have a butt that takes up more fabric lol. BTW, they charge you extra, so if you don't need it, don't get it.

i havent tried on gowns yet but i have been in many bridal parties and honestly.....i have never had a problem with the length...i'm 5'8' and i love my heels!!!

im not 5'7, but i ordered the petite. so its kinda of a similar issue. i just didnt want to deal with alterations especially cuz its lace.
the bridal consultant says when the dress comes in to bring shoes with me that are 2 inches, 2.5 inches and 3 inches...so i can figure out what i need to buy.
you may just want to bring different shoes with you, and then be ready to order.
i want to go shoe shopping too!!!! but i have to wait. o well.

I already bought my shoes and I want to keep them. I walk around in them in my apartment all the time But they are 2 1/4 inches and I have 2 days left to return them to Kate Spade or else I get store credit. I think I may just take the risk since my dress doesn't come in until march.

I'm 5'9' and ordered my maggie sottero already. I tried on a size 10, with 2' heels it was perfect. I am ordering a size 8 and don't anticipate needing a hem.

im 5'5 and i tried on my dress with 2' heels which made me 5'7 and I still need a hem so I think if your 5'7 you will be fine with a heel and not need a hem

omg ur makkking me goo insane. i didnt think of thissssssssss. but i think im OK im 5'7 and the dress was long..so it has to be hemmed. i tried on the dress with shoes and it was stilla lil long. so i HOPE im ok

I'm 5'9' and my dress came in 3 lengths, I chose the longest 61' cuz I will be wearing low heels. The other lengths were in the mid to high 50's in inches.

o man!! i think you should keep them.
but can you call the salon and ask them what they think? they will have a better idea...but i think under 3 inches and you will be okay.

i know, I am going insane, I love by baby shoessssss and I dont want to give them up.

I am 6 ft, so I basically had to order a size up for my dress AND extra length....and I was still told I shouldn't get any heel more than an inch (not that I was going to anyway bc FH is 5'11 lol). Ugh. It is gonna be so hard trying to find a cute show that doesn't have a heel!

I am 5'11, and didn't order any extra length on my dress.
For me it is the perfect length, but I am not wearing heels for my wedding, going to wear flats. If I was going with heels I would have needed extra length
