I am 5'7' and did not order extra length on my dress. Did any of you girls get extra length? The salon is not sure what heel height I can wear with my dress and told me to hold off until the dress comes in (in March!)

I'm 5'8' and had to order extra length on my dress. The sample was fine without shoes, but when I put on the sandals that I had with me, which were 3 inches, it was clear that it would be too short. Actually, I'm having anxiety about it and hoping that the order was put through correctly. IMO it's better to be safe then sorry.

i actually ordered a petite size because i ordered a Maggie which are cut for taller brides....
since i ordered petite i wont need to have it hemmed....my salon measured itout exactly and w/ 3.5in heels its still good length, so im fine

Yeah, it definitely depends on the designer. Even online they show a runway show of the models in my dress and it's short on the models. If the samples ok then your dress should be fine.
I'm 5'8 and a half and I did not have to order extra length.. In fact it needs to be shortened. I'm trying to limit my heel to 1 inch and the dress will still have to be shortened. It depends on the designer.

I'm 5'9'' and I bought one dress at David's Bridal which was not extra length. The other one was custom so that's no help.

Hey RH twin, I am 5'8' and ordered extra length I believe 3'. I don't know how high my heels will be but I wanted my dress to grace the floor so the salon recommended we order extra length. :)

I am 5'7'. I got measured for my dress yesterday. I wore 3' heels, cuz I'm thinking that's about what I would wear for my wedding day. I got measured hallow to waist and hallow to hem and she just ordered the dress to get cut from those measurements.

They say that the dresses are made for girls 5'7' with a 2 inch heel. I just came from Bridal Reflections & that's what they told me. (I'm 5'8'....didn't order yet so I'm not sure what I'm going to do!) How much extra will it cost you? I might say order the extra length (it's a standard additional 5') b/c it is easier to make shorter than add on to it & it will cost you sooo much more if they need to add on. Plus, if you have extra fabric once they hem it, you can use it around your boK...just a thought
