girls already married- Quick question about how your bouquet was wrapped
Original post by Dee606
What type of a wrap did your bouquet have?
I really like the wrap that shows a little bit of the stems sticking out but my florist said that the stems tend to drip when they are left unwraped.
Has anyone had any problems like this?
Here is an example of the type of the type of wrap that I like....

My florist did something really cool that I'd never seen before - the stems stuck out the bottom, but they actually WEREN'T ATTACHED TO THE FLOWERS AT ALL!! What he did is he cuts them, then puts the flower portion of the stem into this holder with water in it, and the the stems attach to the bottom of the holder. So, it looks like your holding onto the stems of the flowers - but they arent even attached. It prevents the stems from dripping, AND keeps the flowers fresher longer because they are in water.
I'll try to find a better picture of the holder, but for now....

Diffferent strokes for different folks - I specifically asked for the stems to be completely covered because I didn't like the look of them sticking out. My florist wanted to leave them out - she said the flowers would last longer. I had no problems at all.

That's exactly how mine was wrapped and yes, it dripped all over the place. Some of my pictures look a little funny because I was afraid to hold it too close to my dress. Look at how I'm holding my flowers in this picture. I kept holding them from the bottom so that the water wouldn't drip.
that's terrible! Did they stain your dress? How long were they dripping for?
