Girls doing or who did their b-parties out east ..
Where did you stay? What did you do?
I really want to go to Mohegan or Foxwoods. However, the rooms there are expensive, and I am too practical to make anyone pay $200 for a place to sleep (that's sharing the room with 3 other girls!). Foxwoods can do it for $73 pp, which I don't think is terrible, but my sister thinks that with food, drinks, gambling, etc, it's a bit much. I found a comfort inn 6 miles away from mohegan that's $31 pp, but no transportation in the hours we need it. That's fine, we can cab it, but ...
I still want to look at other options. I like the idea of going to a few wineries on a Sat. afternoon, having dinner and then going to some bars, and then staying out east somewhere. But even though I have been to the Greenport / Jamesport area a TON of times, I have no idea where there are any bars, if they are any good, and where we could eat besides a few places I know of in Greenport.
Anyone have any ideas, suggestions?
And what do you all think about girls who do not know each other sleeping in the same bed? Most of the girls in attendance will not know each other - the ones that would have will be very preggo at the time of the party or have very young children. Would you sleep in a bed with someone you have never met? If not, that means more rooms, and more $$$ for everyone ...

This isn't what you were asking Jenn lol, but Norwegian Cruise lines does 1 night cruises to nowhere in the fall - they are like $99pp.
I sent my parents on one, and they said it was totally a huge party, lots of bachelor and bachelorette parties. It leaves from the city, and the $99 includes the room, lunch on the day you get there, dinner and breakfast the next morning.
They also have gambling. . .
And admission into the clubs,etc that they have - or deck parties.
I'm still contemplating this, although I'll most likely go into the city and just do the limo and what not.
Wasn't sure if it was something you might be interested in, since it had the gambling, the partying, nice dinner and the price isnt' bad!

That sounds like a TON of fun! $99 pp? That's a great deal. Does it include the admission to the clubs? Drinks are extra I guess? Still not a bad deal. At Mohegan we were probably looking at $175-200 for the room and food alone, that doesn't count drinks, shopping, gambling ... I'll look into it, thanks!!!

We're going to the wineries too!
I wanted all wineries with live music.
We're not staying out there though (preggo and married BMs).
Maybe Danford's? They have rooms...

The wineries would allow me to have some of the married-with-young-tots ladies there for the day. The preggo one will be 9mos in late Sept. Or will have a one-week-old. So she won't be coming I don't think.
Danfords is $$$$. I looked into it because I was going to get my mom and dad a night there as their parent gift. It's like $300 a night for 2 people. But thanks for the suggestion.
I decided on sending my parents to the Greenporter Inn. For $325 I can get them 2 nights in late fall - winter, and dinner one night. I think they are much pricier in summer, but it just now occurred to me to check there.
I really have no idea what to do AT NIGHT out there, however. I wanted something fun, different than a regular old bar, and really memorable ... not Greenport has that.

Danfords has been completely remodeled and looks great, but a bit expensive I live up the block - there are a bunch of bars - young crowd would be Tommy's Place or Billies.

I found one online that was $169 ... ?? More than the $99 Coleen quoted - guess it went up - but I mentioned it to my sister / MOH and she said she had already looked at it but didn't think the dates would work - she misread I think so we are still considering it. I have to call them and see what you HAVE to pay for nbesides drinks. If there are a ton of things that aren't included, it's a no go. But if $169 - 179 includes everything but alcohol, I'm in! (I will have to see if my girls are ... )

Stay at the Pridwin on Shelter Island! Take the ferry out of greenport. Alot of the packages include breakfast & dinner as well! Not the most luxe place but clean and friendly.

this travel agency offers the one night cruise from norwegian for $150, $20-30 less than the norwegian website ... so maybe other travel agents can get deals too? also, this is 'double occupancy' - not sure if they have rooms with two double beds? So you could fit 4 in a room? Not sure if they offer it or if it would make it cheaper. Norwegian doesn't have much info on their website at all about it.

I did a lot of research for the hamptons and most hotels had a 2 night min and were very expensive. I am renting a house in sag harbor for the entire weekend. It's this weekend. I will let you know how it goes. we are going wine tasting at duckwalk on sat day and the water is down the block walking distance.

My bach party was this past weekend and was awesome! We went to West Hampton Beach and rented out a house for a weekend. The house fit 15 of us and had a pool. We went to dinner and then out to the Drift Inn and were supposed to bar hop but ended up staying there bc we had so much fun. We had a nice brunch in town too.

THERE IS A MARIOTT NEAR MOHEAGN THAT HAS TRANSPROTATION AND A MICORTEL NEAR FOXWOODS. MY FH STAYED THERE FOR REALLY CHEAP LAST WEKEND

The only bar I know of w/ DJ and dancing is right on the water called Claudio's in the Greenport area...
There's also a pretty good wine bar that serves food called Vine Wine Bar.

Thanks. I have been to Claudio's a few times - it's nice. There's another bar in Greenport by the IGA, it's a pub but I am not sure what it's like - probably an old man's place Not good for a b-party.
