Girls doing wine bottles as favors...

So mom says not to do them bc 5 regular size wine bottles will take up too much of the table and distract from the centerpiece. But if we put them on a side table, its going to take a few side tables to line up 200 full wine bottles.

What are you girls doing?

I am doing mini wine bottles for each guest. They'll probably go in front of each plate, we have high centerpieces so it shouldn't fight with it.

I'm having the waitstaff bring out the bottles to each table after cake has been served, so they wont be on the table until the end of the night.

08'er crashing. we had them on a side table, brought out after dinner. not everyone took a bottle though so i wish i had on the tables.

I am doing mini bottles also. I figured they wont take up that much room!!!

I'm surprised that not everybody took a wine bottle. . .I LOVE getting wine as a favor!!!

wow.. not something I even thought about!! I def am doing full-size bottles (3 buck chuck baby!!) and I was going to do a low diy cp, and didn't even think about how it would take away... i like the side table idea, and if they don't take it then more leftovers for me!!!

(knowing my family- if they see free portable alcohol, they'll take two so I'll need to be a little strategic :) )

I was debating on this too- with big or mini bottles. It seems like mini will be our best bet. Where are you guys getting the mini bottles?

I would love to do big bottles, did anyone get a reasonable price on them???

I went to my local liquor store and I can get the mini bottles for like $2 something each, the reg size were $5-7 each.

I'm getting them from the Trader Joe's wine store in Manhattan (Charles Shaw wine is $3 per bottle). I've never been there, but I've heard rave reviews...

If the big bottles fall through, where is everyone getting their minis?? I've looked all over and can't seem to find good prices- that's why I decided to do big ones.

Also- what is everyone doing for their under-21 guests?? I have some 'kids' on FH's side that are around 17-19. I don't want to upset the parents!!

When I got wine as a favor is kinda doubled as the place card, there was a little tag around our bottle with name/table number.

I am doing full size bottles. We are having them brought out after dinner and put by the card box. At most Croatin weddings (I am croatian; FH is not) people come say goodnight to you and hand you a card at the end and you then you hand them a favor. In case they drop the card in the card box they will see the favors there and can pick one up.

We are getting full size bottle of Bogle Merlot. They will be one per couple. If I did the mini it was going to be one per person and I would have spent more money on the minis then full.

Did you find a Trader Joe's on Long Island that has them or are you getting them from their wine store in the city? I would so much rather get them around here!!!!
