If you are allowed to have something thrown outside what are you doing? I am so confused I don't want birdseed thrown because im afraid i will be carrying it around all day in my hair and dress.

Re: Girls getting married at church
We are not allowed to throw eatables. So we are throwing rose petals...each church is different, so just check with your parish

My church won't let us throw anything... not even inside! We aren't even allowed to have a runner. Sooo annoying!!

We arent allowed to throw anything so Im either going to do bubbles or ribbon wands. Im kind of worried about the bubbles staining the dresses

Either rose petals or bubbles... church allows either.

since my church allows real rice, we're going to do rice
I thought people stopped throwing rice because birds were choking on it...
I did see heart shaped 'rice' somewhere -- maybe party city?

Re: Girls getting married at church
My church is pretty liberal. i decided on silk rose petals. actually they carry better than the real ones & won't stain. I actually bought them from: www.efavormart.com ( Thanks Denise!). they come in a variety of colors. i think they will look nice in picst. Also, making my own petal cones out of dolies. so far pretty easy to make..

Re: Girls getting married at church
Someone had bought me bird-safe rice to use and to be honest I think I want to stick with the rice tradition. If you're looking for something different I've been to ceremony's where they used rose petals and bubbles.

maybe rose petals then but then again that is the same with bubbles so it can stain. Rice or bird seed im afraid of getting in my hair. Are there any other options lol?
Too bad you girls are getting married in the spring. My friend was married in December and everyone held up and rang jingle bells. It was so nice.
I love that idea
I was thinking birdseed because i kind of like the whole rice throwing tradition...i know I'm nuts.
But jingle bells sound cute

I think Lady Jane's Craft Center or Michael's sell it. I think mine is in the shape of hearts.

Re: Girls getting married at church
I'm getting streamer wands from Oriental trading co. Another girl on here had them and the picture of her leaving the church looked really cool, so that's what I'm doing
