I dont know if I really want to do them for a 1/2 hr. ceremony .. Part of me says just do it, but I dont know.
I have been to weddings before where they didnt provide programs, and I didnt think anything of it.

I'm on the fence about it too. As of now I'm not worrying about it but if I finish everything else early ( ) I may go for it at the last minute. I dont really think people will miss them though so if you dont want to do them then skip it!

Re: Girls getting married at your RH
we got married at our RH and did programs. we felt it was important since our ceremony was jewish, and many of our guests were not.
we created the document in word and then had it printed on nice stock by a printer in NYC. they were pretty inexpensive but looked great!

I doubt I'm doing one. Out of our 70 guests, probably 10 have ever even seen a program lol so I don't think it's worth doing it since nobody else will miss it :)

no, to me it's kind of a waste...and then the guests never know what to do with them afterward haha. i went to a wedding where they had the ceremony at the RH, handed out programs and then i got stuck holding it during CH because i had nowhere to put it!

in this case i think it makes sense so guests will understand the traditions

Definitely understand doing them in this situation. I feel like it is kind of a waste, bad enough im wasting so much money on paper for invitations that people will just throw out I just dont feel like theres anything that I would put in there that anyone would need to really know. The only thing of impostance to me in the whole program would be the 'in memory' part. But that is something I can do sperately with a candle at the reception

We are. Our ceremony is Jewish and Catholic and 90% of our guests are Catholic and we are having a lot of the traditional jewish ceremony rituals in the wedding so I want all FHs guests to understand what is going on...

i wanted to do it. but by the time it was time to do them, i didnt want to spend the extra $, effort, time or most of all STRESS of ANOTHER thing to choose and approve and what not!
Aaaaand best of all, I totally don't regret it! People just throw them out anyway!

Re: Girls getting married at your RH
I only did programs because we didn't have a regular service and I thought many people wouldn't understand what we were doing so they could read along. Well, of course everything single word wasn't in the program and I had to hear that.

I'm not doing programs, I feel as tho it is a waste of time, effort, and paper, most will ignore or toss moments after the ceremony.

Re: Girls getting married at your RH
I am, but only because I was bored one night and made them. I don't think they are necessary at all, it just made me feel better to make something wedding-y that night

This would be the only reason why I would do programs however I'm still on the fence as well.

this--- especially since we are having a regular jewish ceremony and i think everyone who is coming has been to a jewish ceremony and knows what to expect. i think its a good idea if u have mixed culture, etc

I'm diying programs. I'm doing fans with just the bridal party and family on it with a small outline of the day.

I'm not going to do it. It's technically supposed to be 1/2 hour but we're aiming for 10 minutes... I see no point about have it.
