I just found out that my RE office only draws blood between the hours of 9 and 3. Is this the norm? My friends place opens at 7am. I know there are some months when you have to go for bloodwork everyday. I do not know what to do because the place is not near me and I can not take off from work everytime I need to get blood work done.

You may be able to work something out with your RE to have your bloodwork drawn directly at the lab or even at your OB/GYN. My RE is out of network for my insurance and she let me get any tests done at my GYN and he forwarded her the results, this way it was covered.

My RE office opens at 7:oo for blood draws, 8:00 on the weekends.

What RE's do you go to? I need some rec's. Do you just call them or did you go trhu your gyn? When did you feel you needed one rather than just continue on with your regular gyn?

for some lab work I went to a quest lab closer to work, i could go to RE but didnt want to miss any more time then necessary at work, so ask about outside labs they work with.
jacardi - where are you looking for the RE to be located?
My regular gyno recommended them, but I dont think it matters, I went after a year+ of TTCing, and with my dr telling me that was the next logically step!!!
I really liked my Re and the facility!

I'm having the same problem too. It seems that no one wants to hear you have to work. So I've been having to miss some work because of getting this blodo work done on the hours available from the labs.

My blood hours are 7-8:15 am. I always have to have someone cover my first period class, which is not a problem, but I feel bad.
