Hi, I saw a post about the Fox Hollow's Winter Garden Pavillion. I plan on seeing it, is it a room big enough for 170 people and dancing? Thanks!
That room is too small for 170 for dinner and dancing. I was looking for approximately 150 pp and I was too big of a party.

Re: Girls I need your help with venues....
Hi -
My wedding was canceled by Atlantica too. They canceled mine five weeks before the date, which was this past November 14th. I had the best wedding at the Restaurant at the Inn in Quogue. I blocked all the rooms at the Inn, they pitched a tent for me from NY Tents, used purple uplighting, hardwood dancefloor, draped ceilings, it was beautiful. The food is to die for. Better than any wedding food I've ever had. If you want more info, let me know. My guests are still raving about the wedding. Go in for a tasting and you will be knocked off your feet. My wedding was the first wedding they did (they have catered weddings elsewhere but once they heard of my situation, they offered to do my a destination wedding for me in Quogue). It was absolutely beautiful.

I'm probably biased but definitely check out The Woodlands. It sounds like it has a lot of what you are looking for.

DEFINITELY check out Giorgios!!..They have everything you are looking for and the owners are soo great to work with!!..its great for a fall wedding too because it's out by the vineyards, there's the pumpkin farms, and its so nice out there that time of year.. thats why we chose it there!

Re: Girls I need your help with venues....
West Lake Inn is owned by lovin' oven (the same as flowerfield and lands end). they offer the same food, fits up to 300 people.. all for half the price. You could have a ton of add on options and have soup to nuts and still pay less than 175 a person. The only 'negative' is they dont have an amazing outdoor area... but who really cares becasue there is a beach not far down the road! We are going to a tasting for them in 2 weeks! and Flowerfield is having a showcase on 01/31/10.
Check it out!

If you're looking at Oct 2010, Land's End should be under $175pp. Feel free to FM me.
Check out the link for some pictures but there isn't a good picture of the room itself. (mostly bridal suite, grounds & CH room(s))

I can't help but say Land's End. I can not even begin to explain how absolutely amazing everything was. The food was awesome, people are still calling to talk about it, the staff was spectacular and it was the ideal, most beautiful setting. Good Luck!

Old Field Club, Lands' End. Love both! Can't afford either, but you can! Still looking for similar that I can afford, so FM me if you find a place you love for cheaper, lol! The hardwood floors are just so classic.

Lands End... great room, great food (best crab cake i ever had), and nice wood floors.
we have my work holiday party every year at the Carlton on the Green (Bethpage state park) and it never fails to disappoint... nice wood floors and cocktail area. AWESOME dessert spread and variety!
