Girls, I'm really disappointed with the shower !!!!!!

I think we'll have only 16 there, INCLUDING Donna, and her Sis, her Grandma, and me. I'm bummed!!!!!!! Mary MOB

You know what though? It will be intimate and wonderful-Donna will have a nice time with all of her besties, and that's what really counts.

A work friend of mine just had her shower at a restaurant, there were only like 12 people there and it was perfect. Actually, everybody had too many mimosas and one of the greatest days ever. The pics were histerical and she really got to have converstaions with everyone and not spend hours and hours opening gifts and shouting thank you across a big room.

It will be beautiful!! You are a wonderful, thoughtful MOB and she will be so appreciative of everything you've put into this.

Im sure it will be better off! I had 40 people at my shower and I was pulled in so many directions! I felt like I didnt get a chance to chat with any of my guests and really thank them for coming.

Thank you for that helpful input, Kristen!!!! And also on a positive note, I won't have to pay as much for the food!!!! Except I want to order extra, because I loveeee Chef Paul's food!!!!!!! And diet or not, I AM EATING ONE OF HIS CUPCAKES!!!!!!!!!! Mary MOB

I agree.. we had about 65 people..and it took more than 30 minutes to even walk around and say hello to everyone!!!!
She will have a great time w/ the people that ARE there!!

that does stink mary!! BUT i agree with the other girls, that though you hoped for a bigger turn out, with a smaller group you can have more time with each of your guests! things always work out the way they are supposed to and this way you can share this special moment and everyone will feel important to help make it special! don't worry, and don't be disappointed for too long !! :o) it's going to be a wonderful day for her, she has such an amazing person throwing it for her! she'll feel the love and that's the best part of all!

I think you and donna will actually have a better time with less guests there! Mine had 40 and it was overwhelming trying to make my rounds n chat with everyone... My mom was also exhausted from trying to accomodate everyone... so take it as a blessing in desguise... But I hope for her sake, the majority of those that cant make it, still have the coutesy of sending a small gift!

Mary, Im so sorry.. Im in the same boat... we dont have family here (they are overseas) so its just FHs fam and Ive heard that some of them are already saying no cause its in Queens and not in LI... so I probably wont have that many people at my shower either we will still have a great time!!!
