You sound like such a sweet mom. I agree with others that it's not about the numbers but about the people who can come. I've been to small showers and they were more intimate and everyone was able to talk and it worked out great!

I'd be REALLY happy if 16 people came to my shower! My entire family is on the West Coast.... Heck I'd be really happy if 16 of them even made it to the wedding... But that's not a possibility at all. I won't even have any grandparents there....![]()
I have these fears of walking down the aisle and only the first pew on my side is occupied... even though I'm pretty sure tha'ts how it's going to be... and it makes me really really sad.

I truly hope Donna has the best shower! I love that you are so concerned about it and although I don't know Donna, from what you tell us about her I think she is going to really see the effort you put into this and will appreciate every aspect.
My wedding is not what I pictured as a little girl... but what is? I found the man of my dreams and I just have to keep reminding myself that that's really all that matters!
Who knows... God-willing I might get to have 2 receptions!!! ;) 1 here and 1 West Coast Style ;)
I know you'll keep us updated... I can't wait for the pictures.

I'm sorryBut if you think of it this way, if there's fewer people, the more time you (and Donna) get to spend with everyone! I had in the mid 20s and I didn't really get to sit and chat or spend time with people. I would have loved something smaller!

i'm sorry you disappointed...
most important you will be there for Donna
my shower will be small too (maybe 12 people) and my mom can't be there. she lives in europe and can't come to my shower.that's making me very sad. my MOH says that she will set up computer wirelessly and hook it up to large TV... so at least we can chat w/ mom for a bit and she can make a toast or something

Poor Hannah. Makes me worry. I check daily. The kdis are pretty attached to her..
Vinnie thankfully is better! We are seeing a specialist in a few weeks to run some more tests but, I am praying that he will be just fine...
And Mary, you are one of the most amazing moms and I am SURE that she will know how much you put into everything you do and how much you love her!! Dont worry!

No problem, from what I know about you I am sure it will be an excellent shower even with 16 guests. I am sure you will be super creative.
I am good, I know I feel like I have been MIA from LIW. I have been student teaching and getting my house put together for the housewarming this past weekend, so I have had no time to go on. But student teaching is winding down and now that the house warming is done I am taking a break from working on the house and focusing on the wedding.
I had only my closest girls, no wives of guests, etc., and it was about 20 of us, and it was FANTASTIC!! No one was an 'outsider,' everyone knew me well and it made for a better time. Close and intimate is better, and it will be wonderful!
