when i got home from work yesterday i got a phone call from my employer telling me that my assignment is up and not to report to work on monday! i am totally shocked that this happened. especially right before the holidays!! girls, i need a job asap!! please help. i have bills to pay, christmas gifts to get and most important, a wedding to pay for! if any one of your jobs are hiring, please let me know! i need a job quick! this is just so terrible! i really don't know what to do and i'm scared!

Sorry to hear that.... don't know if your interested in working in a bank.... but try citigroup.com.....we're always hiring..... but you could only apply online so....

Hopefully, you qualify for unemployment. If you don't, you should register at several temp agencies.... it's at least a good back-up plan while you search for another job....
so sorry you were employed by scrooge...... you'll be ok. This happens to everyone at some point. A few years from now, this will all be a distant memory... You will make it through!

That is disgusting. Nice timing, I think some people don't have a conscience. I hope you told him thanks for the notice. I wish I knew of anything. Only advice I have is mb monster.com? My mother works for LIJ Hospital I don't know the xact site but if you google them, they always have job openings. Good luck!!!!

I know this ***** and comes as a huge surprise!!! But, don't be so worried, if you go to a temp agency they'll probably be able to place you right away. A similar thing happened to me recently and I had to leave my job in Nov. I was worried at first, but I got a little temp hustle and interviews lined up, so I'm starting to feel lilke this truly was a blessing in disguise just like Chrissy said! So, keep your head up.....it'll all work out!!!!! Feel free to FM me if you need any advice or have some questions about other temp agencies.

Sorry to hear. I swear some bosses dont take into consideration others situation. I know they prolly dont care but come on, over the phone and around the holidays. arrrrrrrrrrrggghhhhhhhhh that really jerks my chain.

again thank you girls so much. i've been really down. but you girls are keeping my head up...seriously. it just really sux b/c FH won't have a lot of gifts this year

First get yourself on unemployment so that you have a little money coming in. You deserve it and worked for it.
