What island and what hotel are you staying at in hawaii??

also how long in advance did u book your HM?

I responded on the BHB board too but I booked in January for a trip in April.

You can't book too far in advance because airfares only publish so early

we are doing 2 islands 6 days in Maui and 5 days in kuai . Staying at the Fairmont in Maui and hyatt in kuai. We are leaving march 24 we booked it in like september

i am not going there on my honeymoon but I have been there and I highly recommend

Kaui- for romanticism
Oahu- For more of a city night life vibe
Lanaii- secluded romantic but can be $$
the big island - scenic, adventure type stuff

We are using FFIL's timeshare which was booked Feb 7th (HM is August). We still have to book the flights.

The resorts will be in Lihu'e, Kauai and Lahaina, Maui.

We went in October '07 and booked it in March '07.

We stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach (2 nights) in Oahu; the Grand Hyatt in Kauai (6 nights) and the Hyatt Regency in Maui (8 nights).

We loved all 3 places so much, we're going back for the HM (all at the same hotels)!!!! This time we're doing 5 nights in Oahu; 8 nights in Kauai and 10 nights in Maui!!!

We booked at the beginning of Feb - the flights are published 330 days in advance and we booked the second we were able to because we are using FF miles so we're not paying for airfare!

I have also stayed at the Sheraton in Maui and it is also amazing.

Hey - we're almost date twins! Just to let you know, the only reason we booked so early (aside from the FF mile issue) is that we are going to be gone over Thanksgiving - which is a busy time for them, so we didn't want to run into trouble with getting hotels/flights we wanted because of the holiday.

Just to let you know, the only reason we booked so early (aside from the FF mile issue) is that we are going to be gone over Thanksgiving - which is a busy time for them, so we didn't want to run into trouble with getting hotels/flights we wanted because of the holiday.

i am feeling the same thing..we want to go that week also. Only thing is...FMIL hinted that FH's brother was getting us our honeymoon. We had our engagement party and he said ' im good for a gift just trying to figure it out'...so because i have anxiety over the wedding () i keep asking FH what should we do..he says to just wait cause we didnt hear anything different..im just nervous to wait too long and then he ends up not doing that for us and then i cant get flight or hotel cause a busy week..

FH yells at me and tells me to relax and if it wasn;t happening his mom would tell us to go ahead and book it..

ahhh i just really want to go there...i feel so much better once things are booked ...

I so totally feel your pain - why do men have that attitude! FH is always saying the same thing and I'm like 'we need to get it done now!' I guess it's that kind of stuff that balances us out as a couple.

we're going to the big island and we're staying at the four seasons. we booked our honeymoon in June 2008!

We just came back from Hawaii, we visited Honolulu, Kuaui and Maui, stayed at the Hyatt everywhere. We booked our flights there very early on bc we were using miles, but we didnt book our inter-island flights and hotels till August
