Did you get the alterations done there as well? If so, what did you get done and how much did it cost?

I'm worried b/c Macy's doesn't have a cap on alterations. The woman who helped me said I would probably only need the hem shortened and the bustle b/c with my measurements the dress should fit perfectly otherwise. She said probably around $300-350 but she couldn't give me an exact number since they havent gotten it in yet.

Please share your experiences with getting alterations done at Macy's! Thank you!

mine was about 300 i had it hemmed, i put cups in and bustled. My dress was a corset so I did not have to get it taken in.

I just went for my first fitting last week....I had already paid 150 for the Hem to hollow and when I went back it was another $350! It's out of control

Mine was $200... I got my halter strap adjusted, cups sewn in and a slip put into the dress.. I still think that is ridiculously priced but people here the word 'wedding' and charge triple what it should be!

My dress needed to be hemmed, bustled, and taken in a pinch in the chest. That was $300. Then I added a panel in the back, which is $175.
