Curious how things are moving at this current moment...i know some of you got it in a month and others longer. BUT after you were approved how long did you wait for a closing date?
TIA
ETA: this isn't regarding fh and i finding a place lol sorry for the confusion. Its regarding my current apartment that i own and transferring names

Congrats to finding a place! We went to contract on Oct 22nd (my mom's birthday!) and then closed on Dec 7th. Just over a month so it went pretty quickly.

no i wish hahaha, actually decided to take care of something else first. Im transferring the name on my apartment but it will go through as a sell. So i am really hoping this goes through before the wedding, so i can use some of that money hahaha. Although we kept having to go from one mortgage broker to another so that delayed the process
ok thats not bad...thank you

we went into contract on our place last jan, but the owners wanted to wait till school was over before they moved. So from when school ended on june 28th until our closing date was about 2 weeks...hope this helps ya!

FH was approved and closed within 30 days (this was a year ago.) Home was brand new...no one in it.
My sister in NC was approved and closed also in 30 days. She closed a week ago...home also brand new.
Hope this helps!

they accepted our offer new years eve and our closing was on March 7th, so two full months for EVERYTHING including the various inspections

Re: girls who had closings within the past few months
It all depends..I work at a title insurance company and i see closing happen in 3 weeks all the way up to 2 years...If everyone works fast and nobody slacks there shouldnt be a reason why it would take longer than a month/month and a half to close. Houses that need a survey take longer.
Just a bit of info for you!

I am in the process of buying a coop..we had to go in front of the board and get all the annoying paperwork together which took a while.
If you have a good attorney they should be able to set up a closing fairly quickly once your approved. It shouldnt take long to add your FH to the deed. FM me if you'd like my attorneys contact info he was great.

the one good thing is i live in my building for a few years and the president of the coop is real nice and asked if we need help with anything to let her know. So we told her so they can speed up the process. Plus since ive been before a board already i made sure all the papers everyone needed they have.
No i am not adding fh to the deed, this will be a sell. Fh and i will buy our own place

WOW really have they said why? i know there have been quite a few girls who said not that long ago that it took 1-2 months for their closing. Is there a reason such as waiting for the others to move, appraisal or anything like that. When i bought this apartment a few years ago, it took under 3 months but most of it was waiting for an appt from the board. And you were approved and everything right
