i went to check out OWG today because i'll be taking pics there next april. the gardens were beautiful, but i was a little concerned about the possibility of rain and having to take pictures inside. the house is nice and all, but i'm not really sure where they would take pics inside the house. has anyone taken their wedding pics inside the mansion? and how was it handling your dress around the grass in the rain? does it get extremely dirty? i'll be taking pics before the ceremony and reception so am worried that my dress will get very dirty from trecking through the gardens. any thoughts on this?

yes they do. i'm paying $275 to take pics between 9am and 10:30. it gets progressively more expensive when you book later appointments. go check out their website.

Re: girls who have taken pics at old westbury gardens
my friend just got married this past saturday (ninachris07) & we took our pics at OWG - the only thing that sucked was that it had rained the day before so the ground was SOOOOOOOOOO soft and muddy.... all the BM's kept getting stuck in the ground b/c of our shoe heals.... we ended up taking off our shoes in the middle of the picture taking b/c it was easier that way.... but im SURE the pics came out amazing!! however our shoes were VERY dirty by the end of the picture taking
we didnt take any pics inside so i'm not sure how that goes... but it just sucked b/c of the soft ground. they have an attendant from OWG walk around with the bride & help her with the train and stuff... they did a good job accomidating us
