Girls with Ivory gowns..

Just curious about what tux did your FH choose/get? If we are wearing ivory, shouldn't they wear an ivory shirt instead of white? Thanks

ivory shirt and ivory tux, however, the store is going to have a white shirt available too even thouhg i am sure i'll like the ivory better

Deffinatly dont weart white, I think it will look dirty. My FH is wearing a light pinstriped tux, a black shirt with ivory tie and vest. (I think...or all ivory, not sure.Brings me to my next topic!) Anyway, I would not wear white. I would either use black or ivory.

Definately Ivory! I was suprised when we just stopped in to look at tuxes and the guy that worked there asked what color my dress was and then he told us that my FH HAD to have ivory then(in front of him which was great)-- I mean I knew that I wanted ivory because it would look better but I thought it was some crazy thing that only brides think of...apparently it is pretty well established when getting tuxes.

bring a swatch of your dress with you, but i definately think ivory shirts go better

My DH wore OFF WHITE and not ivory. Ivory is very yellow and my dress was not yellow. The groomsmen wore the off white shirts with black accessories and DH wore off white accessories.

Ivory does not necessarily mean yellow or yellowish. Definitely bring a swatch so the people in the tux place can see what shirt looks best. My dress is ivory but it is far from yellow. You can only see the difference in the color when it is held next to something pure white. The ivory is a little richer...not necessarily yellow.
