How are you going to be doing your hair for the wedding?
My hair is super long, so now it's more curly wavy than curly curly, but it keeps the waves and curls naturally if I don't touch it. When my hair is straightened, it tends to get very flat because it's thin, and doesn't hold curling iron curls very well because of the thinness and the length.
Does anyone else have this problem? Or have any ideas of how to make sure this doesn't happen? I'm leery of just having my hair be natural then pulled back and styled accordingly because of frizzies.

i have the same problem. but my hair is really curly. I'm not sure what i'm doing with it. FH requested that it be down. the other problem is that not every hairdresser can work w/ curly hair.

I have really curly hair and straighten it everyday...for the wedding though I am keeping it curly and havign it pulled back. The reception is on the water and if I even try to straighten it it will end up curly anyway.

i have the same problem. i have very curly hair too. I'm putting my hair all up for the wedding i can't deal with it in my face all day. When i got my trial she straightened the 2 front sections (pics in album) and i'm not 100% thrilled with it (they started to frizz). i think i'm going to see if she can leave it naturally curly and just pull it back. I've never straightened my hair so when she did it for the trial it didn't want to stay.

I spoke to my hair stylist about this bc I have the same exact hair that you described. First off when your hair person does ur hair for the wedding they will put alot of hairspray before they curl it so it will hold it (hopefully.
I'm going to have extensions put in to add volume, I think she said it will just be a strip of hair, not for length just to make it look fuller. You should talk to your stylist about this, many people do this and I think the extensions will last up to a month (it's only a temporary thing)
Does your hair frizz in the winter? I know mine doesnt but in the summer I look like the Lion King and I wanted my hair down and curly but my stylist convinced me to have it back but loosely where it would still look like its down...

I have the same kind of hair - wavy/curly. I do get a lot of frizzies. But my hair stylist was great at the trial and my hair lasted all day without looking crazy (which isn't normal for my hair!).

I have curly hair as well which I flatiron daily. Today on the other hand is the exception- I let my hair go natural.
For the wedding, I am going to have my hair loosely curled and wear half up half down. If you are worried about your hair not being able to hold a certain look, do a trial. Some of these ladies are amazing- they can transform any hair.

I had a real hard time with my curly hair until I discovered Ouidad. I love her, she is a curl genius. Now my hair is so easy to manage.
For the wedding I am going with curls. I am thinking either all up with trundle curls or half up with curls hanging down.

I have hair like you described and though I did want my hair down and curled for the wedding there was no way it was holding -- extensions or not.
I tried with extensions and without. I ended up with an all up do that I loved.
My advise -- if you want to wear it down and curly 1. be prepared for it to fall flat 2. cut your hair. The longer it is the harder it will be to hold the curls.

I am a Ouidad girl as well. Best products and cut ever. Are you having them do your hair? They wanted $500 to come out the day of my wedding and do it.
Those of you that have curly hair, it is so worth a visit to Ouidad, it will transform your hair.
