We looked at them. We met with Barbara I think. We didn't book them cause they were like used car salesman. 'well you know we are the best' 'You wont find another photographer as good as us' Then she called me every week. 'you wont find another photographer this good at this price' I cant stand venders like that! I was a photo major in college and found a few things I didn't like about them! Good Luck in your search.

Isnt it funny that I looked at them like 3 years ago. And she annoyed me that much that I remember her name

I can't believe I forgot her name. I guess I blocked it out! She was still leaving messages a couple of months ago and we had met with them back in Feb.

Finally I told her not to be so pushy if I wanted to use them Id call them. Then I went on to tell her Im using someone else because they are so pushy. Then she had the cajones to ask me who we booked. I was like none your business!

Don't be worried. Im not saying they didn't do nice work they were just to pushy for some of us!

thanks My friend's husband is a videographer with them and highly recommended them..

Thats who we met with barbara- wow I did not have that experience with her at all! she didnt say any of those things, in fact she was pretty quiet- didnt try to sell them at all. she is short/heavy with brown hair- doesnt sound like the same person, wow. she was the assistant for my stepbrothers wedding too and they loved her also-
For those that booked them do NOT worry at all! they were great my family keeps talking about how great the photographers were and their personality- as for the proofs my mom and dad said im being too critical the pictures are great.

I was in my friend's wedding and she used Glenmar. I found that the photographer was a very patient and nice guy. The pictures also came out great.

Do not worry AT ALL. My two friends who used them were very happy.

We met with them. Two friends of mine used them. One had a complaint that her photographer took only horizontal pictures (no vertical for frames.) We liked their work and thought their prices were reasonable, but did not book with them because FH HATED the woman we met with. She wasn't a photographer, but he could not stand her and couldn't stand the thought of dealing with her. I forgot her name. She was very pushy and not too nice. He said she was making faces at me. If you meet with someone else, you should be fine.

I know the exact woman that helped u it was prob the one that helped us! I felt the same way!

Same way here too.... same exact story for me... was her name Alison by any chance?

Not sure if I remember.... was a long time ago.... but some things you just don't forget.

Yep, that was her. I guess she just rubbed us the wrong way. I had a list of questions I was asking her and at one point was I was looking at the list FH said he saw her roll her eyes at my list (and it really wasn't that long.) Then she was very pushy about how they are the best and we have to book it right away an so on.

wow it sounds like you guys taught her a lesson!!!! I would be angry too if I got that kind of treatment. I had a list too- the must ask questions from here , maybe she made faces at me too, lol, but my mom is sharp so she would have said - you know I havent seen her lately either maybe she got canned I met with her back in sept 04.

I have a feeling she's still there. She was still calling us up until a couple of months ago. (Hello? My wedding is in October - I would hope I'd have somone booked by now! I guess she finally took the hint when we didn't acll her back!)

I just booked them for my April 06 wedding. I met with Ally, she was great, not pushy like the other woman. My best friend is a wedding photographer and said to meet with the photographer individually because if your personalities don't mesh, it can be a disaster. Plus, they give you all the proof's without having their Studio name on it, which is great. The photographer I booked, Tom, seemed very nice, very softspoken, which I liked.

I used them last September for my wedding. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I paid for 2 photographers to cover my wedding and they still managed to miss very important (and obvious) shots. If you want more details, FM me.

I've only met with Glenmar. I've been emailed quotes for other packages and Glenmar is the cheapest so far. Barbara, was very pushy and wanted us to book on the spot. Still looking for a decent photographer with a great package. Good Luck. P.S. Look into ImageSlice.com. They have a great package and are a vendor on NYC weddings.com.

i used them in May, and when i think about them I get a little sick to my stomach. Barbara called me 3x in one day to have me book them and I gave in. I didn't listen to my gut instinct and booked them. The photographer missed so many shots that i specifically asked for. We only got about 300 proofs. Everytime I've called to ask about something they say they'll find out and call me back but they never do. Yesterday when I went to do my album, they changed prices on me. I don't hate many people but Barry and Barbara are pretty high up on my list.
