Going dress shopping this weekend any Rants/Raves about the following shops?
I've made appoinments at:
Adrienne's Paradise Bridal Helen's Wedding Center in Commack (not to be confused with The Wedding Center of Commack!)
I'm pretty familiar with Adrienne's but not really with the other 2. My mom baught her gown for my sister's wedding at Paradise and said it was fine but that was 11 years ago so any info you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Paradise was wonderful when I went to them! I will be using them for my mother's dress!

I just orderd mine from Adriennes the owner is great she gave me some reception ideas and even gave me the best advice on a wedding planner she suggested different areas where I could save money. So I cancelled the planner and I am saving money.

Not sure if you want to go over to Centereach but the women Beverly in Centereach bridal is wonderful. Since I am thin she is the only one that would actually care enough to hold the dress super tight so I can get the true look. That was very important to me, I hate bad service.

Loved them too! they were terrific! Commack wedding center had poor customer service imho!

I definitely have no problem going to Centereach. I live in Manorville, so I'm not that far away! Are they located on 25?

Yup. Just east of the Smithhaven Mall!

I ordered my dress from Paradise!! They've got a great selection!!!!!! Ask for Donna, she's the best!!!
I looked at Helen's too, that's where I'm going to order the BM dresses. Their selection isn't as big but they're very helpful and their prices are really good!! You can always find a dress somewhere else and then ask if Helen's can order it for you.

I am an 05' bride butting in but Angel's Bridal in East Islip has been great, even though I did not find my dress there I ordered it from there because the customer service was great. I went to all three stores Adrienne's Paradise Bridal Helen's in Commack they all had there pluses and minuses, they all had a great selection, but I did not like the service in any of them except Helen's Bridal and Angel's Bridal.

Went to Adriennes for my gown worked with the owner and she was fabulous!
Went to Helens of commack for my bridesmaids and also a very positive experience!

If you are coming from Nicholas rd they are west of Nicholas and on the right side, if you pass Good Steer (on the left) or Applebee's (on the right) you went too far.

also try Burtons. When it came down to it, same gown but Adrienne's had a better selection for BP and MOB. Was very disappointed with Bridal Reflections.

Yes, Helen's is completely different from the Wedding Center (where I agree they have horrible customer service). Helen's is great tho!!! It's located in the same place as Wedding World which is why there's sometimes confusion. Plus, they're both in Commack.

Can only comment on Helen's. GREAT service. My sister got her dress from there (she got married 5/04). The seamstress was wonderful, the sales people were wonderful. The whole experience was wonderful. They managed to get her the dress of her dreams even though it was discontinued.
I went there to order my dress, and as soon as I walked in the sales woman (whose name I don't remember) recognized me - even though it was more than a year since I had last set foot in the store (it was almost a full two years). Unfortunately, they couldn't order the dress I wanted b/c they only carry that designer's BM dresses, not bridal gowns.
As soon as I can drag my sister we are going there to look at BM dresses.
