FH and I are going to look at a Knights of Columbus in New Hyde Park today for an eparty. We (really me) want to have a black, white and red theme party on February 9th - close to Valentine's Day. My parents gave us $5000 as an engagement gift that we could save or use to throw a party. Ultimately we'd like to be able to throw the party and be under the amount given to us so that even if we dont make the money back we're still at an advantage. Wish us luck! Has anyone been there?

i havent been to the on in nhp but ive ben to the once in oceanside plenty of times. they have a few different sized rooms that are all really nice. good luck !

Good luck! I lucked out because my friend is a member of the local fire dept. and got us the room for free My parents are paying for everything else, but even still, we're gonna be way under-budget 'cause I'm good like that with my crafty party planning skills

So I'm back. The room is actually very nice. The guy said its $38 pp including tax and gratuity, food and open bar. It comes with your choice of linens and you can get china and silverware for an extra $2. The room is pretty big though... too big for us I think. Plus I really didn't want to spend everything my mom gave us so I think we're going to keep looking.
