Hey girls, FI booked a cruise for us leaving next Monday. It was my birthday gift ... And I have been waiting since June. I am not sure if I should take my ring. Do you think its safe? I am nervous about losing it in the water at the beaches. What do you think?

Re: Going on a cruise
I would do whatever you're most comfortable with. I know I could not go anywhere without mine. When it feels loose in the water, I put in on my middle finger and it's nice and snug, but that's on my skinny days

Re: Going on a cruise
Three weeks ago, we went on a cruise for our honeymoon. We took our rings and nothing happened. Each stateroom has a safe that you lock using a credit card (remember to take it with you when you leave the room).

I think you should leave your ring at home I was in Hawaii and two (2) NOT one (1) new brides lost her wedding bands on an excursion in the ocean. I was also in a hotel in the poconos and my hotel room was broken into including the safe. I wouldnt trust any one or any place with something as precious and sentimental as my ring. Think about it like this if you were to lose your credit card for the safe in your room would they never be able to use the safe again....... Better safe than sorry....

I would def bring them. Common sense though says to leave them in your room when on an excursion or going to the beach.

Re: Going on a cruise
I am going to Disney & then the Disney Cruise in 2 weeks & I am bringing mine...I could not imagine leaving them home & something happen to them there. Is your ring loose now in the water(ie when you are in the shower)? I just had mine made smaller & made sure in the pool & it doesn't come off...But you have to be comfortable with what you decide...You don't want to be nervous the entire time!
Do you know where you are cruising too???

Re: Going on a cruise
My FH proposed to me while we were on a cruise. I wore it the whole time but there is a safe in the room if you want to keep it there too. Have a great time !

Re: Going on a cruise
I'm going on a cruise for my HM & I can't imagine not bringing my rings the day after I get married!
I will probably leave them in the safe in the room when we are doign crazier things like snorkeling & kayaking & maybe even biking, but I'd want to wear them to dinner.

Re: Going on a cruise
we went on a cruise for our HM and I wore my rings EVERYWHERE, even swimming and snorkeing, etc. I just hate being without 'em
The only place i could not wear my ring was when we went swimming with the dolphins in Jamaica, because they won't allow you to wear any jewerly to touch the dolphins. But I just buried them in my purse until we could gather our things, then put them right back on
