gold beads on your gown and FMIL is wearing gold

I am asking this question for my sister

If you were wearing white with light gold beads on your gown, would you be upset if your FMIL wanted to wear a gold gown?

no, but I can see why it might bother someone else. maybe FMIL wanted to coordinate. It is your sister's day I wouldn't let it bother her. No one is looking at FMIL anyway!!!!

She probably wants to stay in the same color family so thats not bad at all..imo

If she is worried it will upset the bride my advice to her would be to A) ask the bride or if she doesn't want to do that then I'd go with a different color.

No, but I agree that she should just ask. My MIL wanted me to pick her a color so it wouldn't clash w/ my mom's or BM's. She kept caling me and asking me. It was really nice of her but I didn't care either way . I didn't know what she was wearing until the day of. I'm sure the bride would appreciate being asked.
