gold rim china

gold rim china

I found china at Bed Bath and Beyond for $50 per place setting that is similar to the porclain dishes that I registered for at Crate and Barrel for $40 per place setting. No one is buying anything from C&B at all so I moved over to BBB and put the new stuff on. The only difference is C&B has a platinum band and BBB has a gold band. I still think it is still very pretty and contemporary.

Question is, will silver flatware look good with a gold banded china? Will anyone even notice? My mom already bought us our flatware so I can't change it and I just don't like the way gold flatware looks.

What do you think? Top is BBB bottom is C&B and the other is our flatware.

You are fine! I worked in high end catering and currently work in special events - when we set a plate with a gold rim we always use silver flatware....enjoy it!

My china has gold in it too ... I looked at a flatware set that was gold, but it looked so weird. I think its fine with the silver, that's what I went with!
