I work in the theatre industry!

Shows that he'll like...

God of Carnage (though I didn't see it with the new cast)
A Behanding in Spokane (excellent, Christopher Walken is in it...very twisted. LOVED IT!!!)
Avenue Q (it's off-B'way now, still fab!)
Fuerza Bruta (also off-B'way...it's the 'new' De La Guarda)
American Idiot if he's a fan of Green Day! I saw it last week and am in love with this musical!!!!
Jersey Boys

tomorrow night I'm seeing Hair, I can let you know if it's something a guy would like. Not that I'm a guy, but I don't like the typical musical fare..

Hairspray
In the Heights
Wicked

I've seen so much more than that, but my mind is drawing a blank right now.

FH and I already saw Rock of Ages and Avenue Q ... we loved both (in fact, FH said Ave Q is his all-time fave show of the ones he's seen, obv)

i'll take a look at those other shows

are there any good deals on any of these shows? i don't want to spend $100 per ticket, and i also don't want to sit in the nosebleed section

My vote is for Ave. Q (very funny and entertaining) or Fuerza Bruta. I saw De La Guarda and loved every minute of it. So this one has to be good.

ive seen a bunch of stuff recently and my favorite was HAIR!! its SO good. i got the ticket as a freebee and I thought it would be dated and i wouldn't really enjoy it but it was AWESOME. The cast is great. its super entertaining (they come into the crowd and sing) and the music is just fun. id see it again.

Or Mama M*I*A! is GREAT!! Id def see that again...another fun, lively show...

[of the others ive seen over the past 1-2 years (Billy Elliott, West Side Story, In the Heights, God of Carnage), I probably wouldn't repeat any of those again. ]

Google the name of the show + 'promo code' or 'discount code'...you'll find some. Not for the newest stuff though, usually.

The 'nosebleed' section at theatres is actually not bad...in some cases, I prefer to be in the rear mezz or balcony. Most of the theatres are a lot smaller than they seem from a seating chart, with a few exceptions of course.

I can't wait to see it! I basically informed my coworker (who is in charge of the comps) that I will be taking a pair on the aisle, in the orchestra, because I want to be right down there when they sing and dance in the audience.

I have the original soundtrack on vinyl.

We played the ticket lotto on Monday and won $25 front row seats! We also bought 'obstructed view' seats for $37 a few weeks ago... still an awesome view, row G! There are ways to get cheaper tix.

I still want to go more! 3 times was not enough!

And now I want to work 'When It's Time' into the wedding somehow, haha.

A view from the bridge - i'm not sure if it is still planning, Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson are the leads.
