Tracy, I loved the shape of the cups -- I'm a big cup/glass fanatic!! I fell in love w/that pattern the first time I saw it, but my DH hated it -- he's a big flower person and I'm not. (Who's the girl?) So after many arguments -- and I mean many -- he finally caved in on the condition he could pick out the everyday! Isn't he hysterical???

Thats funny!!! The cups were a big selling point for me too. My mom told me the loops have to be big enough for a mans finger (and my FH's aren't skinny). So I liked the loops and the design and luckily so did he. I had to convince him with our everyday dishes though

JennRenee - That is lovely!

Bear - too late to register, I'm already married. But I want to start with maybe 4 place settings and then collect the rest over time. Like DH or mom can get me a place setting for Birthdays, Christmas etc. They never know what to get me!

Kate, if you choose a Mikasa pattern, go to the Mikasa outlet store (I favor the one in Secaucus, it's huge) because they have really good prices!!! And if you pick a Lenox pattern, the same thing -- go to the outlet store. My pattern was something like $50 in the store, but like $35 in the outlet store!!! Big savings!!!!

Mine is still in their own indivual boxes!!! and they are in a closet.. I have bought the bags.. just have not put it in yet...
