i just started making my appointments for dress shopping and already had my first bad moment.
two weeks ago while check one of the local shops near me (in brooklyn) i saw there page had an online appointment thing so i used that. got an email right away saying 'thank you, you will get a confirmation within 24hours to confirm this appointment' well 3 days passed and still nothing so i called. the girl was very ehh to me then but i sched the appt and was happy. well while at work yesterday the shop called and i missed it, called back an hour later and this girl picked up as rude as can be! when i explained i was calling them back she replied ' what did they want?' no one left a message so i didnt know. she had me on hold for 5 mins to finally pick up and say 'oo your dress is here and you still need to pay for it' yea... i havent even tried on a dress yet, so i repeted i have an appt on sept 10th to look at dresses, she asks for my name again.. that makes it the 5th time, and puts me on hold again. when she comes back she says 'are you coming in for your fitting, cause i see your dress is here, and there is still a balance' ***!!!! i had to explain everything to her again and then she lets out a very loud ::SIGH:: and says 'well i dont know who you are so hold' and once again on hold. ANOTHER girl, who was just as rude pics up and we have to go through everything again. and FINALLY she says 'OOO i called you! i got your email about wanting an appointment would you like to make one now?' when i explained i sent that 2 weeks ago and have already called and made my appointment she got snotty with me 'well i just got the notificaion, but since you already did it fine see you later' i quickly asked if she can confirm that im in the computer to come in on the 10th, since at this point i was alil conserned and she said 'i'm sure you are - bye!' and hung up...
needless to say i called back and told them to cancel the appointment. within that 15mins all sorts of red flags were popping up and i did not want to start my search for dresses there. i just cant believe how rude and unprofessional some of these places can be. if i ever acted like that to my clients i would be outta work and broke.

WHen I was a consultant, if my boss ever caught me talking that way to a bride, I think I would have been fired on the spot. I'm sorry this happened. Could you tell me the name of the salon (FM me if you want).

Wow are they hard headed. That is beyond ridiculous. I have never heard of anyone so damn rude. You made the right decision to not even bother going there.

god forbid if i ever got a dress there and found out later on...i know i have a shot temper at times but at least at work im profession and i was very calm and nice the whole time talking to them. but if i was dealing with that a year from now WOW all H ell would have broken lose lol

Ok so now you def. need to blast the bridal salon...lol Was it Kelly's? Good for you for cancelling that appointment - I wouldn't want to give them my money, let alone the time of day after that.

haha no not kelly's i already know better then to go there lol however after this happened at least at kelly's they are still nice to you while they are screwing you over lol

to be honest it actually helped that im not going there after all. i got 3 other places all over Brooklyn that day so its alil less rushed for me now lol
just hope the rest of the shops are better then that one

i have a policy: one nasty person at a place..and i dont book.
that may be terrible since it could be a bad day for that person or it could just be one person
but if u r nasty to me..u dont want my bussiness.

funny you mentioned them i actually called and made an appointment with them for the same time as the bad place lol i was alil worried tho cause i heard they carry small sample sizes, is that true?
