Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

Just checking in, how is everyone doing? As I stated in my last post, my goal is to lose 15 lbs by 9/1. What are your goals? Any issues you are having trouble with?

My issue is breakfast, I need a low point breakfast that will fill me up....

edited to say: today my breakfast was 1 cup of honey nut cheerios with skim milk. Coffee (gotta have it!) with skim and equal. I think it added up to 6 points? Cereal was 4 plus coffee was 2 - does that sound right? Thats what my book said. I need to find a 3 or 4 pt breakfast!

Lauren, you are only a few weeks after me! We can do it! You've done well since January! 10-15 by July seems like a bit much, how about with me by Sept 1st? Not that it's impossible but you can't starve yourself!

Why have you lost your motivation?

FutureMrs! I will join you! I would really like to lose 10lbs by July, so I will TRY TRY TRY! I think I lost my motivation when the SUN went away! I mean who can get themselves motivated in dreary weather like we've been having... it's very depressing

I have a few goals...
1. 10 pounds by august
2 another 10-12 by october

I have a few breakfast staples...
1. banana with slimfast (but only a 1/2 of scoop...otherwise too chocolatey for me) 4-5 points
2. fiber one with skim (old WW would make this 3 points...but now you can only count 4 grams of fiber )
3. smart start with skim 5 poins

the cereals with grain and fiber...tend to keep me going longer...

you could also try eggs/egg whites...the protein should sustain you

I also have a morning snack of grapes...

Hi, I have been on WW since Jan, have lost about 15 lbs (yay ) and would like to lose 10 more by July, my wedding is 8/30. I have plateaued though, and its making me nuts, I am the same weight for the past 3 weeks I need some new motivation!

oh I love this thread! Well, I was bad today, I had a bagel

How many points is that exactly?

But now that this thread is started, its really motivational, I'll have a good lunch and dinner!

beth, what size was it? Did you have anything on it like butter or cream cheese? A small bagel is 3 points and the large ones are 6. Plus whatever you have on top.

hmichick...have your leader look at your journal...this happened to me once and he noticed that I was within my points...but they were all carbs...

could that be the reason you have plateaued?

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

Hi guys! Well after our Memorial Day pig out/bbq/eating fest, I didn't GAIN last week but I didn't lose either, still down 12 pounds with starting WW on-line April 4th.

Future: I would take your coffee as 1 point as Equal doesn't have anything, nor does coffee and skim is maybe max 1 pt unless you are putting 1/2 cup in, no?? I take coffee with 1 equal packet, and a few teaspoons of 2% as 1 point...

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

I either have a 3 point small bagel (Lenders) and 2 tbs of Light Cream Cheese (2 points) for a 5 point breakfast. Also substitute english muffins for a bagel. Also, like the Smart Ones breakfast sandwich ham, egg, cheese (like McDonald's almost) for 4 points I believe. Fills me up!

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

True Stacy, I didn't think my coffee was 2 pts. And I only fill it halfway anyway! I have to buy the lenders and low fat cream cheese, I use to do that and I loved it.

For lunch I just had a mixed green salad, grilled chicken, corn, kidney beans (protein!) and low fat honey mustard dressing.

I am still so ****ed I have not been able to register for WW online, I am on AOL at home and for some reason it can't read java script or something...so I am doing it on my own til i figure it out or go to a meeting on Thursday. Anyone know anything about Java script?

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

I think that the carbs was part of the problem, that I was thinking if I stayed within points I would lose no matter what, which is not really the case. I did talk about it w. my leader, and one of the big pitfalls I had was popcorn. I was eating tons of the 94% fat free, which is 1-2 points- I thought that was a good snack, but it has tons of carbs (bad ). So just b/c its low points, doesnt mean its always good.

I think part of the problem is that I am not trying to lose that much, and the weight comes off so slow, its easy to get discouraged. I am trying to journal better again, and get back OP since I really saw results when I stuck to WW more closely. The support here really helps

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

I have trouble figuring out the points for chicken, like I ate grilled chicken in a tortilla. What should I put?

MrsTC Posted:

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

Beth, Corn tortilla is 1 point, Flour tortilla is 2 points. The chicken is 2 pts. Was there anything else on it??

PS do you have the book? If you have the book and the journal it becomes like a little game, a challenge

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

Jen...I registered on WW through AOL at home and I didn't have any problem, hmmm, that is strange. I get on it from work and home to calculate points, etc. Love the on-line for recipes....which is another thing, anyone have recipes for dinner that they love? I have a few, anyone else interested in posting as well? My husband eats the recipes that are WW as well, so I know they are good!

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

What a great idea-- I love this thread-- I joined in Jan and lost 27 lbs so far--although after this vacation(and 2 off weeks) I gained back 6lbs that I hope will come off easy-- I want to lose at least 30-35 before I get pregnant
So yesterday i got back on track and so far so good-- I also do WW online --couldnt imagine it any other way
Breakfast usually consists of yogurt for me but occassionally I order 3 hard boiled eggs(eat whites only) 2 pieces of toast with jam--- you would be surprised at how filling it is--some days I eat one whole egg and the 2 whites--
Sushi has become my main lunch staple-- and tonight I had veggie stir fry for dinner-- DH makes it taste so good that I dont realize all I ate was vegetables!!!
Good luck tomorrow
Laura

Laura, 27lbs is AWESOME!!! How do you stay motivated??

I actually did the treadmill tonight!!! 1 mile for now! I'm so proud of myself. I couldn't find my other weight so I jogged on the treadmill with a can of baked beans in each hand! Thought I should get my arms working too!
