Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!
Original post by MrsTC
Just checking in, how is everyone doing? As I stated in my last post, my goal is to lose 15 lbs by 9/1. What are your goals? Any issues you are having trouble with?
My issue is breakfast, I need a low point breakfast that will fill me up....
edited to say: today my breakfast was 1 cup of honey nut cheerios with skim milk. Coffee (gotta have it!) with skim and equal. I think it added up to 6 points? Cereal was 4 plus coffee was 2 - does that sound right? Thats what my book said. I need to find a 3 or 4 pt breakfast!

Humm, I did old 1,2, 3 points and 'Winning Points' and still have tons of material.
What is the difference with the current program?? I think it changed.
I'm doing the low carb diet with really good success, but I like this thread (great motivation)and maybe I could do a low-carb points...
Thanks, Marcia

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!
Hi so far so good for me with WW. I lost 17 pounds to date. Last week I didnt gain or lose so I felt pretty good about the maintance. Though the last 3 weeks have been really rough, i havent counted points and in one week I ate 2 enterman's cakes. yes 2 in one week all by myself. I gained 1.2 pounds. now its taking what feels like forever to loose the weight I gained.
This week I have been super super strict with my points and what I am eating. I have been journaling like a mad woman, counting every little point and drinking lots of water. My goal to loose this week.
My ultimate goal is to be 120. I have 27 more pounds to loose.
Once I hit goal I would have lost 44 pounds.
So its just sticking the points and drinking lots of water for me

marcia...I am an older plan member too...I don't follow the new plan...(since the old plan had worked for me)
changes: *instead of mandatory 20 min workout...your points for the day are 2 points lower * carrots ( !!!) and onions have points after 1 cup *you can't count more than 4 fiber points (this one bothers me...since I used to eat fiber one by the boxfull!!)

yabbobay, thanks for the scoop! I may go back through my old WW info.
I've lost 28 lbs in 4 months with low-carb and hope to lose another 30 before the wedding in November, well actually October for dress re-fittings.
Good luck to all of us!! Marcia

Good Wednesday Morning,
How is it going today?
For breakfast I had a YoCrunch yogurt - it was 4 pts but it fills me up til lunchtime bc of the granola. Last night I was home late so I made hot dogs, beans and corn. Did you know that 1 hot dog on a roll is 8 pts! I have to come up with some better dinner solutions, but it is hard bc my FH is a big eater and we are always home from work late etc..I have to plan ahead more. And I need to go grocery shopping for the right stuff!

Chippa, I have the same problem! I think you and I started WW around the same time, and I had a few 'bad' weeks the past month where I did not journal and was not following program as well as I should have been. I gained 2.8 and am now struggling to get it all off. I am basically maintaining, not gaining or losing in the past month. BUT, I am remotivated, journaling again and chugging water. I am hoping to lose another 10 pounds by August. I was good for dinner last night, had chicken with TONS of broccoli. I love FH, but its so much easier to eat healthy when I cook for only me when I make dinner for both of us, he likes a carby side like rice or pasta Breakfast today was oatmeal w. raisins. I am going to run downstairs now to get my am snack (banana!)

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!
FMrsTC...when I found out about hotdogs...i never ate one again...until I found Hebrew National 98% fatfree...they are pretty good and 50 cals and 1.5 grams of fat...you can also get wonderlite hotdog buns...40 cals eat...
that comes to about 2-3 points

Today I wanted to kick FI in the shins. He's on WW too but his point range is 28 - 33 where mine is 18 - 23. He made manicotti. 9 points for 2. That is half my day of food.
So I did my journal for today
2 manicotti's 9 points 1 mozzerella light cheese stick 1 point 5 point lean cuisine with a nice salad
3 point smart ones dessert
total points for today: 18
24 teddy grahams is 3 points

I'd like to join the group also. I'm down 21 lbs, but during the past 6 weeks I've only lost like 2 lbs. I'm stuck and starting to get frustrasted. I usually have a low point breakfast of cottage cheese, 2-3 wasa crisp crackers and an ice coffee with milk. I count 4 points for that.

Hi Shari you're in!
What else are you eating during the day? You may be having too many carbs and thats why you only lost 2 in the past couple of weeks.....
The 21 pounds though is great! Maybe you are plateauing and need to make a few changes. Ladies, any suggestions?
Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!
good ideas for plateauing: weight lifting sprints in cardio (go faster than normal for 2 min...then slow down for 2-3)
check the carbs...

Hi everyone! I'm so busy at work that I barely can log on at work.. but I sooo like this thread..
FH is on WW- no meetings, just follows the points. He's lost 45lbs in 4 months... I'm up to 8 Although I did go for my 1st fitting, and I've lost inches!!!! Yeah! I'm very proud of him, I too, want to reach my goal of 15- 20 by Oct. (10 by the end of June) .... don't know if I can check in every day though I will try, but I will say that FH weighs his food. Chicken, 3-4 oz... it's a science here! good luck to us all, I'm sure we can all do it!!!!!

I definatly think I lost inches too only because a pair of jeans that used to be really tight on me and had to do that whole laying on the bed to zipper werent tight on me and i didnt have to lie on the bed to zipper them That was very exciting for me
So far I havent noticed much else. I lost 17 pounds to date.
I have a sexy dress that my friend is letting me borrow (for what I have no idea, but its a slinky sexy dress that I am using as inspiration) hanging on my door and its my reminder that I want to fit into that dress so I need to stick to my WW.

Chippa, I believe you totally lost inches too! One can't go by the scale alone. I almost fainted when she told me I lost 2 inches around my hips!!! I couldn't believe it! Congrats on hitting the 17! I know how hard it is... but it's an accomplishment! Hope you get into that dress, I'm sure you'll find something to wear it to

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!
Chippa LOL I hate the lay-on-the-bed -and-zipper deal....that's when you know it is TIME to diet!
OK I was bad last night. Here I am, the leader of the LIW WW online meetings and I was bad. I went to Curves, and then got home and started laundry and called for apartments (we're moving).....and we didn't cook dinner we ordered Italian in.
I didn't want to get a salad (thats all i ever eat anymore!) So I looked in my trusty book and the lowest thing I could find in the Italian section that I liked was 1 cup of penne a la vodka, so thats what I got. And then I ate a garden salad. Came out to be 11 points!! I'm so ashamed......
But the moral of the story is, today is a new day...jump right back into low points!

I definitely think I am plateauing. I'm am watching my carbs and don't think I am eating too many. I think I need to vary my diet more and start journaling again.

That's probably it Shari.....the journaling is the trick!
