Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

Original post by MrsTC

Just checking in, how is everyone doing? As I stated in my last post, my goal is to lose 15 lbs by 9/1. What are your goals? Any issues you are having trouble with?

My issue is breakfast, I need a low point breakfast that will fill me up....

edited to say: today my breakfast was 1 cup of honey nut cheerios with skim milk. Coffee (gotta have it!) with skim and equal. I think it added up to 6 points? Cereal was 4 plus coffee was 2 - does that sound right? Thats what my book said. I need to find a 3 or 4 pt breakfast!

FutureMrsT- you've got to live a little. Plus, w/ all the exercising you've been doing, I'm sure you've banked some points here and there. One night is ok (if you ask me ) Great attitude though- keep it up! I'm just sitting at work- busy, drinking water!!!! I feel like I run to the ladies room every 2 minutes!!!! anyone else feel this way? does it end?

I love the breakfast bars, had one this morning- 2 points

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

hi y'all. i just joined WW online last friday and my next weigh-in is tomorrow. i'm not expecting miracles but i'll keep you posted if week one resulted in any loss.

for breakfasts, i have substituted silk vanilla soy milk for skim milk. one extra point but much more filling (and soy is sooo good for you). also, i tend to forget to eat a lot of protein (i don't eat red meat and typically do not eat poultry) so i find a tbsp of reduced-fat peanut butter hits the spot!

what i'm having trouble with is dinners - this week i have been having salad every night. while yes, good for me, i need more variety. i rarely cook so its either salad, soup, or a lean cuisine type meal. boring! any suggestions for quick dinners?

glad you all are here - you are my version of meetings!!!

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

This morning I had FI hysterically laughing at me with my theory on points.

He had a softball game and I didnt get a chance to eat breakfast this morning so when we got to the field I went to the store to get something. Normally I never leave home without my slider, but today I didnt have it.

So I go to the store and get a coffee and a corn bread thing. Normally corn bread is about 4 points for a small piece and this thing had to be about 8 points.

BUT it had no nutrician thing. So I told FI its zero points because it had no nutrician facts thing. He said 'I dont think so Liss'

What I have noticed is I can usually guess about how many points something is just by looking at the nutrician facts. I am so used to my slider that I can usually give a good guess on points when i read the facts on a food (but I always add 1 point just to be on the safe side)

I found an interesting low point dinner tonight. Vegetable meatballs. 3 meatballs are 1 point. I had 9 meatballs, with lots of cooked vegetables, a salad and a fruit for desert. A 5 point dinner. But now I just ate 3 more points of popcorn. I'm still within my point range, but that's it for the night!!

I didn't do the weigh-in this past Tuesday. With the holiday weekend and all the eating I did, I think I was afraid of the scale

What do I have to do to catch up with where everyone is now?

NYC SHARI!!!! We want the recipe for the veggie meat(less?) balls!!!!!

OK is this possible.....Monday or Tuesday I posted that I weighed 139. I have been going to Curves every night and journaling, sticking to the points. This AM I weighed myself ( I know, not supposed to in between the week ) and I weighed 135! WEIRD!!!!!! Could it be true???

I bought them from the supermarket in the chicken/meat section. They are already cooked. I pop them in the microwave for 2 minutes and dinner is ready. I weighed myself this morning and I'm up 1.5 lbs. I wasn't terrible this week but not great either. I know I didn't drink all the water and it is my time of the month. But still not a good morning.

Also, it ****s because dinner was made for me so I didn't have control over what I ate.

Re: Good morning, welcome to the first WW meeting here!

Staying motivated is tough-- but each time I lost 5 or 10 lbs i kept thinking this isnt enough so that kept me motivated--so onceI hit 25 lbs I started thinking about 30 lbs--the problem is now i am trying to lose vacation weight-- so i have an extra 5 to lose--ugh not fun!!!!
Journaling is def the key--- I need to see that I dont go over-- but this week I am really back on track so hopefully I will hit 30 lbs within the next few weeks
Good luck to all

Shari - thanks for the info! And I am sure the gain is due to good ol Aunt Flo and the water issue. Don't worry.

Sandy - thanks! Let's hope it's not an illusion...

Can I join over here too? I don't have alot too lose but since I've been out of work I definately have gotten out of shape and have gained in my belly, hips & thighs I want to lose about 5 lbs and tone before my wedding in 3 months. That is my goal. I figure if I can journal my meals here it might help me eat better and get on a right track with some support.
I have been walking every day and doing weights and drinking lots of water. But when i'm bored I tend to eat!!!
Anyway-I hope I can see some progress...
Edited to say: and none of my summer shorts fit right anymore yet i'm too broke to go buy new ones-that's what really ****s!!!
